"Lovely place, and very nice owners. Great rooms and beds. The pool was fun, and the hot tub very nice. And the breakfast was fantastic. The only thing to be aware of is that if you don't have a car it's hard to get to (taxis are hard to come by in Amboise), and a decent walk from downtown Amboise."
"The property is one of a kind with its natural caves. Christophe the host along with his dog and cat make you feel welcome upon arrival. The property is truly remarkable albeit slightly humid as it is a natural cave. With a swimming pool surrounded by natural rock and rooms that are one of a kind, it is worth staying at Le Clos de l'Hermitage."
"Faible disponibilité du personnel. Heures d'ouverture de la réception très restreinte.
Bonne piscine.
Service en chambre inexistant.
Plus proche du camping que de l'hôtellerie."

Great to explore Chateau Amboise and Clos Lucé. Loads of shopping and great pedestrian districts. Very picturesque little city within an easy drive to the top Chateau sites in the valley.

Amboise is the heart of Loire Valley. Surrounded with all the castles and historical sites from summer palace of monarchy to Leonardo Da Vinci's house and garden

There is a lot to see in a small package in Amboise. It's also central to many Loire Valley chateaus.

Clos Luce is a must. We skiped the Amboise castle and visited Château Gaillard instead.

Very pretty little town with many restaurants, although mobbed during a French long weekend in early May, so probably a nightmare in summer.
"We stayed last year as a half way stop between our holiday destination and Calais. We really enjoyed coming back for the 3rd time. It’s a lovely quiet location, the hotel reserve a parking space for us as we have the bikes on the roof, we always get a lovely family room. The food wasn’t so good this time, very bland (I had prawns, my husband the salmon ratatouille) the children’s meals are very plain but they eat them and it’s fine. The beds are comfortable and large. Only errors this time was that we requested the bed be made up as a twin and it wasn’t and we had no water when we arrived. "
"Super place to stop, we arrived later than expected and had planned to go for dinner in Amboise. However we ate in the hotel’s Italian restaurant, it was very well priced and lovely food, a bonus."
