"If I could give this hotel 20 stars, I would. It’s practically brand new (less than five months old) and everything about it is exceptional. The location is perfect—right across from the bus station, with a pedestrian walkway behind the hotel that leads you through all the best shops in Bari, straight into Old Town and down to the ocean. No cars, just a beautiful walk. The hotel itself is state-of-the-art, thoughtfully designed, fully accessible, and equipped with fast, modern elevators. Every detail in the rooms is well planned and comfortable. Parking is incredibly convenient—just about 20 steps to the right of the hotel. It can be a little tricky to find at first, but once you do, it couldn’t be easier. The staff truly made the experience. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and attentive. The included breakfast was outstanding—one of the best we’ve had. And the rooftop bar? Absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere, excellent food, a talented chef, fantastic music, and a bartender who really made the experience special. This hotel exceeded every expectation. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Room was clean and robe and slippers provided were appreciated. Coffee (powder) could be improved (pods?) Spa was good as were the services- gym very small and not what would find in a 5 * hotel. Valentina and Lydia, both working bar/restaurant were unusually exceptional in the service they provided- pleasant, calm, friendly and efficient- they should be cloned!"

"We stayed at a lot of nice hotels on our travels through Italy and Malta, but Borgo was a real stand out. The surroundings and facility is next level. It is a real experience from arrival and all the way through your stay. Everyone went above and beyond. I regret not pre-booking spa time, as it was booked up when we arrived. I really liked the interaction with a personal concierge over Whatsapp. I was able to ask questions and she helped with some local advice for travels to Lecce and booked us an amazing restaurant in Fassano. This property is a gem in Puglia. "

"The room was very cool, with the stone walls and the loft where the bed was. We had to leave early the next morning for a flight and the front desk attendance offered to bring us yogurt and muffins the night before so that we could eat before we go. Very nice!"

"Good buffet breakfast. Main downside of the hotel related to eco friendliness, including the quantity of disposable cups used in the dining room and bedrooms - paper but containing plastic and unable to be recycled. Also, despite a sign on the bathroom door about their eco policy and reusing of towels, all the towels we left hanging up for reuse were replaced."
