"I stayed at this hotel once last year. No problems at the desk then. This year the woman at the desk tried the whole "local police require us to photocopy the ID of all foreign guests" ruse which is not how the Minpaku and Hotel law works in Japan. I showed them the law which I have bookmarked on my phone and they relented. However, because of this embarrassing episode I will not be staying here again. The room itself was fine, but I was right next to the elevator and the walls at this hotel...

"It is supposed to be a business hotel but the front desk staff was not helpful at all. We tried to have an early check in but was told it was not possible Check in was at 4PM. Also, there are 2 different hotels on the same property. So we went to the wrong hotel at first. it was called OYO YAKATA. The room was a bit musty but we managed to air it out as we could open the window. The bathroom smelled musty as well. It was cheap for a night but the location from the JR Miyazaki station is far....

"The check-in time is 3:00 pm and it's a bit strict. If one wants to check-in before 3, the half day rent has to be paid. More or less services are quite good. Rooms are equipped with bare minimum necessary stuff. Access to local food and few nearby restaurants. The breakfast is a bit monotonous and typically not many options. Overall, experience was Ok. "
