"The staff are very polite and made me feel welcomed. It's got very cozy decor and feels homey, on top of that everything was extremely clean. The property itself is very beautiful with plenty of space on the lawn to relax. The breakfast they served was really good. There are a lot of places to go see nearby, two noteworthy ones being Harry S Truman's home and The Vaile Mansion. Will very likely stay again if/when I visit Independence again."

Breakfast was adequate. Room was clean and tidy. Staff pleasant and generally helpful. Overall facility is in need of some upkeep, main hallway carpets needed replacing. Commons area furniture (sofa/ottoman) also could use replaced or refurbished."

"Our family of 7 traveled to Blue Springs for a wedding. We rented a pontoon boat at the nearby Blue Spring Lake and it was an easy drive to downtown KC.The property was great for our needs and very clean. Spacious house with plenty of sleeping room, large kitchen, great outdoor space, and very clean. Seems it may have recently been remodeled. Bathroom has modern ammenities with bluetooth capabilities. Communication was prompt. Well appointed with anything you should need. Great location and no complaints.Very small issue with the doors in the upstairs 2 bedrooms not latching, but the kids just pushed their luggage against it at night. Seems the family may live in this house occasionally since there are main level and basement closets with their belongings, lots of family pictures and decorations. It does feel a bit that you are staying in someone's house. It wasn't a problem for our family. However, if you are looking for more of a rental-only property you may want to take note. On the other hand, it meant the house was essentially fully furnished and it literally had everything we needed, including a Keurig coffee maker with plenty of pods for our 3 day stay. The host was kind enough to set out some extra camping chairs for extra seating so our large family could gather around the fire pit. Wonderful stay."

The backyard is perfectly set up to relax and watch the kids play. The kitchen is definitely set up to accommodate cooking for multiple families and spacious enough that we didnt feel claustrophobic with so many of us staying at the same time. We will have to stay again sometime! Thank you again!"
