"The actual Oceanami resort is a completely difference experience than what's portrayed on Orbitz and the resort's website. During our December 2017 stay, about half of the property was under construction, including villas, beach club (which is part of the property name), 3 of 5 restaurants, spa, and areas next to the pool (the swim-up bar). "the facility is excellent, had stayed there before and really liked it, but this time the staff was often gone. only a maid there to check us in, so she had to keep calling the manager. we arrived hot and tired but there was a power outage and no generator, so quite miserable. I made a mistake with my reservation, but again she had to call the manager to get an upgrade. Also we were often locked in or out and couldn't get in or out without major difficulty."

"Pools and beach access was great. Breakfast buffet was very good and the resort restaurant food was good as well. There's a convenient store across the street that is super useful and stocked with plenty of drinks, water, snacks, and alcohol. There's nothing else to do or go to within walking distance of the resort though. "
