"The buildings at the Commune are amazing. Stunning, sleek and airy architecture complimented with perfect lighting and top notch service.Being the only ones walking along the wall is a memorable experience. For the high standards of rooms and service the price is more than worth it. An excellent weekend away escaping the hustle and bustle of Beijing. The hotel has a pool, a few choice places for dining, a gorgeous yet a bit pricey spa, and a kid's play centre. Waking up to overlooking the wall...

"Wonderful stay. Made a stressful long lay over and transit very comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely gift and note waiting for us inside. The shuttle was smooth and driver very lovely. Overall the staff were very thoughtful and considerate. "Since my phone wasn’t compatible with WeChat or Alipay, I faced some challenges during my stay in China. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful. Ella went out of her way to assist me—she walked with me to the food pickup spot, used her own phone, and helped retrieve a delivery ordered by my daughter, who was staying at Tsinghua University.
On another occasion, when my daughter’s WeChat account ran out of funds, Harry Sun helped us withdraw cash from the hotel ATM and reload the account. He also arranged our trip to the Great Wall of China, booking a car and giving us great tips—like leaving early to avoid traffic and returning by early afternoon.
