Majestic views of Mt. Tam! This modern-furnished, spacious, stand-alone guest house has spectacular views of Mt. Tam and is about half a mile to downtown Mill Valley. The bedroom with queen bed and half bath is on the entry level and then upstairs is an open floor plan with a full sized kitchen, dining area, full bath and living area.

Comfy sheets and towels, full washer/dryer, full size viking fridge, wine fridge, fully equipped kitchen with coffee/toaster/blender/silverware/cooking pots/etc, large screen TV, cable, curated art on the walls.

This guest house has a queen bed for two people. There is a convertible DWR sofa bed for two additional guests (must be under the age of 12 yrs old). $20 per additional guest.

Lovely Mill Valley Guest house

Loved it! Gorgeous view of Mt Tamp and so quiet at night. Loved the dedicated parking spot and so close to all that Mill Valley and Marin has to offer. We were very happy to spend a week there.

Mill Valley

This property was perfect for our Mill Valley getaway. The guest house was very nice with fabulous views of Mt Tam! This is the perfect location to enjoy quaint cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Our host, Grace, was so very accommodating and always responded quickly. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect getaway.

We loved our stay at Grace's home! The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We are already thinking about coming back and staying for longer - it felt like the perfect getaway to Mill Valley. Walkable to town (albeit a bit steep!), easy access to hiking trails, and a bit of peace and quiet. Highly recommend!

Great Property

Stayed here for two weeks and the property is great. Plenty of space, bed was very comfortable and had all the amenities required. Just outside of Mill Valley, far enough that the property is quiet and feels like a country house but being very close to the town centre. Host was very helpful and on hand if anything is required.

We were in Mill Valley for a wedding and stayed one week. Overall we enjoyed the location although parking is a little tight if your vehicle is on the bigger side. Appreciated the two story set up with the bedroom on the lower level and kitchen/living area on the top.

We had an incredible stay at Grace's place. Absolutely gorgeous location, close to town (get ready for some stairs, though), and even possible to hike out of the front door right to Mt. Tam. The house is adorable, well-appointed, and beautiful. Grace was very responsive to our questions and super welcoming. What a treat to be able to stay here. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Cute little cottage!

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfy guest house in Mill Valley with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is located in a quiet neighborhood so one can really relax. It is very close (walking distance! - although down a steep hill) to the charming village of Mill Valley, with its many art galleries, coffee shops, etc. The hosts were very responsive. We hope to return in the future :)

Comfort, Location, and Quiet

This was the perfect location for day trips into San Francisco, which for us included Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Park, Haight/Ashbury, Chinatown, and Muir Woods. Returning there each day brought comfortable surroundings, a well equipped kitchen, a lovely view, and a good night’s sleep. My two favorite things about the property, aside from location, were the quietness of the neighborhood and the glorious breezes accessible through opening the windows (we were there during a heat wave). The town of Mill Valley was delightful and the walks there and back invigorating. A wonderful place for celebrating my 50th birthday!

Close to nature, but still close to town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace's guest house in Mill Valley. It was perfectly situated for day trips to Muir Woods, Sonoma, Napa and San Francisco. It was a fun drive up the winding roads, some of which are narrow. The apartment all of the conveniences that you will need. Grace was very responsive for any questions that I had and had lots of recommendations printed out for us. The bathroom is quite compact as is the shower, and the bed was a bit soft for our backs. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.

Lovely, light, bright, lots of natural light, furnished nicely, immaculate, many thoughtful touches such as abundant linen, towels and a well equipped kitchen. The location is convenient and beautiful. There was plenty of hot water and as it was cold and rainy, I was happy to have good heat. The bed was very comfortable. The division of space allowed two people to have privacy. The eating area was bright and cheerful. The area is quiet. This was a delightful place and we hope to return.

Nice, Bright, stand alone rental

I enjoyed my stay at Grace's rental. The unit was very clean and had easy parking right in front. It's up high on the hill with beautiful views of Mt. Tam. Grace was easy to reach. Just a note to anyone with mobility issues-there is a steep staircase inside so could be problematic for some. Otherwise the coffee provided was great to have, beautiful skylights and very bright in the unit. Very cute. Would stay here again. Thank you.

Place to Rest & Rejuvenate

Photos do not do justice of the gorgeous gem! Tam as well as loads of natural light greet you every morning and are spectacular during sunset. Grace was extremely kind and fast to respond to any questions. The space itself was very clean and stocked well - kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with touches like a small book collection that covered everything I might have needed. While I stayed here for a conference in SF, was able to work remotely as well for a few days as Wifi was strong enough for meetings + other applications simultaneously. After hours, the Dipsea stairs were a short walk from the front door and Muir Woods as well as Mt Tam trails were brief drives away, perfect for unwinding. Very much enjoyed the stay and hope to find an opportunity to come back again.

Perfect Stay

What do you most care about when you’re looking to rent a place? I know what we most care about. Is the bed comfortable? Yes, it is. Is the place clean? Absolutely. Is it quiet? Perfectly quiet and still. Is it within walking distance of the village? It is. And it’s a good walk. But you can also drive your car. There’s plenty of parking. Are the owners nice and easy to deal with? More than that, they are kind and thoughtful. In fact, I really didn’t even want to tell you how wonderful this place is because I’m afraid it will get too popular and then we won’t have it when we need it. Lol 😆. It’s actually two stories, with the bedroom downstairs and a half bath and bathroom area for washing up and doing your makeup, etc. Then you go up the stairs and the upstairs is this absolutely gorgeous view with Windows everywhere, a full kitchen, a little eating area, couches, and chairs to watch TV. Just a great little townhouse. Highly recommend it. Just don’t take it when we want it!

Tam view chalet

This property is as advertised. The view of Mt Tam is clear from the upstairs windows. The upstairs feels light and airy. Windows on all four walls helps it cool off quickly with the evening breezes. Full kitchen with well working appliances. It does take a few minutes for hot water in the sink shower. The couch is firm and comfortable for sitting on or napping. I actually slept on it as i preferred to be upstairs. The bedroom downstairs is very big with a half bath and laundry facilities. The counters and cupboards seemed to be a few inches higher than normal. At 5'4" I could reach most places. The upstairs shower door is about 20" wide, i fit in with only a little to spare. Nice shampoo, conditioner and bathing soap is in the shower. The street is narrow and used mostly by people that live on it. Although it passes below the dining area window, there's very little noise from street in early mornings or evenings. Access to mill valley is within 5 minutes by car. There is a dedicated parking spot for guests right at the private entrance. I found it relaxing and enjoyable!

Spacious and full of light

We've stayed 6 rentals in MV, this is our favorite! Upstairs beautiful, many windows /skylights, views all around. Sitting area full view of Mt. Tam! Separate unit; no noise from others. Spacious, smartly designed, lots conveniences. Street parking convenient alongside unit.Upstairs, spacious kitchen, all appliances. Eating area looks across street, saw several bird species. Ice maker/dispenser, wine cooler, etc. Sitting area nice couch; wish chair were larger. Skylight in stairwell lovely.Downstairs, bed incredibly soft/comfy. Bed has window & 2nd TV set. I really wanted a chair in bedroom.Upstairs bathroom has nice shower (door is a bit narrow). Counter space small, sink has grab-n-pull stopper. Toilet: no fan. Angled ceiling; if male, you may bonk head when use toilet. Downstairs bath very large, no door, lots counter space, toilet has fan & privacy wall, no door. Sink has corrugated surface like inverted Aztec pyramid. Funkiness just adds to the charm. Mysterious, closet-like recess behind curtain. Both bathroom sink faucets are short. Lots electrical outlets! Getting hot water can be slow at 1st. Hot/cold direction odd on some faucets. Fine after figured out. Shower plenty water flow.Pleasant/spectacular walk to town through redwoods. Enjoyed long stairs, steep dramatic scenery, some may find it tough. Neighborhood has very narrow roads.Once you stay 2 days, you will wish could stay 2 weeks! We absolutely loved it.
