Lovely hotel, friendly staff and great location

The staff were truly exceptional. Kind, conversational and always on the ball. The condition of the hotel was quite dated - at least our room. The photos on Expedia didn’t quite translate into our experience, sadly, so it’s unlikely we’d stay again. On the plus, room service prices were very fair for London. Thanks for our stay.

Our stay was nice with some hard caveats. The room was smaller than expected. Amenities were good with slippers/shoe covers/coffee/tea/water/sugar however no toothbrush, no milk. There was a flying ant in the room on the bed after about 20 mins of arriving and a spider in the bathroom (didn’t see anything more after dealt with). These rooms are NOT sound proofed. There is a connecting door in the Cabin room which makes the room next to it sound like the other person is in YOUR room. We could hear them walking around, coughing/sneezing like it was coming from our own bathroom. Not to mention the kettle beeping/boiling sound. When they were opening and closing doors it felt like it was inside of our room…. As though they were opening our door. It was a bit unpleasant at 1am, we became very conscious of using the tv and it didn’t feel like a private room. When brought up to the concierge in the morning he exclaimed we should have called the desk but it was 1am. He said we can find a solution and all he would suggest is we kept our bags there for the day (we had stayed 1 night). This wasn’t useful for us as we were leaving. It was raining so he offered us an umbrella to take. The central heating worked well but didn’t want to turn off so opening a window was necessary. Casting to the tv was easy.

The property and the room was very nice and clean the staff very friendly and service oriented!!
