"Finding a unique property with excellent reviews in the little town of Rockdale Texas was delightful! This retreat spot is over 100 years old. A comfortable room with king size bed, tv, microwave and frig and coffee maker was all we needed. However, coffee and apple cider and homemade muffins were served in the office. Before dinner at a recommended restaurant, we relaxed on the beautiful lawn in Adirondack chairs. Our only thought was how soon can we get back here for a longer stay!"

"It was very quiet and beautiful setting. Easy to find but last stretch was a gravel road but ok I am 85 and didn’t feel safe to take a shower. No handle bars. And friend with me had trouble turning the shower on. I did like the window unit in the bedrooms. Kept really cool on that hot night. Bed was very comfortable. "

"My family of 20 had the best time. Relaxing and fun. Swimming, riding the side by side. Sitting under the clear sky at night making smores. This property has went above and beyond to nake sure everything is needed. Very detailed, clean and full of things to keep you busy. Absolutely the best. My whole family rated it a 100. Not one bad word to add. Don't change a thing."

Pleasant surprise!
"We were too late to get a hotel in College Station for graduation so we looked outside if the city. Jackpot! Management and condition of the hotel were fantastic. Very comfy stay. This is at the intersection of 2 highways and stoplights so road noise is expected. Recent upgrades to the hotel and rooms really reduced this noise. Also, in the end we were very happy with the location as we did not encounter as much traffic going to A&M as we would have had we scored a hotel closer to the school- they all seem to be located in the same general area. So this was like going in - contra-flow opposite way of the traffic. Would we stay here again- you bet we will! "
