Midtown Hotels, Palm Springs

"Beautiful old movie star hotel - originally owned by Lucy and Desi Arnez. I go here twice a year as it’s such a perfect treat. Wonderful pool right next to golf course and view of the mountains. I highly recommend getting a room with the golf/pool view and you won’t be disappointed!! Very comfy bed and rooms all have patios on first floor or balconies on upper floors to enjoy the view and get fresh air. Nice staff and easy check-in. Even though it’s an old hotel and rooms are a little dated it is kept very clean. It’s not a super luxury hotel but it’s very old Palm Springs with history and a beautiful lobby and grounds. Totally enjoyable!! "

"Good staff, great lifeguards and perfect family fun pool. We have been coming for 20 years. Rooms are hit and miss . We had alarms going off and on two days of the stay. Security tried to find out what was going on. Halls smelled of weed and fried food. It’s the pool and size of the 2bdr villa that keeps us coming back."

"As seniors we missed a few things. 1. Access to an elevator to our second floor room, 2. parking lot was a ways from our room, 3. We were not able to access either of the 2 restaurants on the property. We were told this was due to a large group of people that were staying there. 4. We reported an inability to get hot water in our shower. ( We were however, given a full Resort fee stay discount for this), 5. All staff were very professional and wanting to care for our nees"

"The kids loved the pool. Evenings snacks / drinks and the omelet station at breakfast were nice, though the lines got very long at times. Room was clean. "

"Beds and pillows good, hvac efficient and simple, quick and stress free ride to the airport. Rooms laid out surrounding huge pool area making it a long walk to ours. Missing tile on threshold to bathroom. Enormous bathroom with inexplicable small counter area. Room had a spray bottle of cleaning solution, which didn’t inspire confidence. "
