GK Airport Suites - Free Shuttle & Early Check In by GK Hospitality Group

8/10 Good

"This property was great - super quiet and the suite I got was huge with a kitchenette and a rooftop terrace. It is also close to the airport and a highlight was the free airport shuttle. I had a pick up at 5am and the driver arrived right on time and was very professional. However, I didn't realize it was a self-checkin property, and when they sent the directions at access codes just 45 minutes before my check-in time through Expedia messages, I was getting my bags at baggage claim at the Athens airport where the airport wifi does not work well and I did not have cell phone signal. I booked the stay less than 48 hours in advance so I didn't realize that you needed to give them 48 hour notice to arrange the free airport shuttle. I took a taxi, but because I hadn't received the check-in instructions, I didn't know what to do. The taxi driver helped me call GK and the staff was very helpful. However, the taxi driver demanded that I pay him 100 euros for helping me. It was a very stressful experience. I stayed at a different self check-in airport transit on my way home, and that property sent an Expedia message, a text, a WhatsApp message and an email with the check-in details. When you arrive, they also have a sign out front with the Wifi login so that you can get online and check for check-in details to be on the safe side. These are some additional suggestions to help reduce stress for foreign customers."

Hotel Vincci EverEden

8/10 Good

"Great property. Staff were mostly wonderful. The receptionist at the spa was amazing and helpful. The only problem came from a guy who literally chewed me out for getting my own towels. Told us the pool (upper pool by the Japanese restaurant)didn’t open till 11am though there were no signs and the doors were wide open. Just plain wierd. Everything else was good although there are no restaurants or anything to do within walking distance."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Metochi?

The best time to visit Metochi, Attica, Greece, is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, or September.

These months offer pleasant weather, with warm days and comfortable evenings, superb for exploring the natural beauty and local attractions without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming and the hiking trails enjoyable.

For those who prefer a livelier atmosphere and don't mind warmer temperatures, July and August are also popular, though the heat can be quite strong. This is peak season, so you can expect more people and higher prices for accommodation and activities.

Travellers seeking a tranquil escape might appreciate April or October. While the weather can be a bit more unpredictable with a chance of rain, you'll experience Metochi at its most peaceful, with fewer tourists and often lower prices.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline − this is often within 24 to 48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our 'Fully refundable property' filter during your search to find the right Metochi hotel for you.
