Budget-style accommodation for the location. Friendly staff, good breakfast, small room and very tiny bathroom, but clean. Not the most comfiest of beds and pillows lacked any substance. Ok for a stopover. Nice view.

Fantastic location in the heart of the town. Walking distance from the train and close to the heat dinning options.
All 3 Staff we encounters at front desk were delightful and the bar tender in the sky bar was slammed and by herself but handled everything well.
Over all fantastic value for money
Alleviated the upgrade and comp drink.
Cheers. Highly recommend.

This is not a hotel or a motel. In fact it is a fully furnished holiday cabin/apartment, but you have to bring your own everything - towels, sheets, pillowcases, and you have to thoroughly clean the unit yourself when you leave. This place is an awesome place to go if you want a week away from it all, but if you are just passing through, this is not in ideal place to stay. The write up about the accommodation does include a hidden mention of extra charges for linen or towels, but it is not...

We had a great time at the hafjell hotel, the staff were so friendly and extremely helpful, the only problem we had was that we booked for a queen bed and got 2 singles, not a huge problem we just pushed the beds together, the buffet breakfast was incredible, I would definitely stay here again

What an amazing hotel all round, staff, cleanliness, location. Perfect for walking the many trails and Olympic sites, situated in the heart of town with free parking and a plentiful hot and cold breakfast it would be difficult to find a better hotel. We had a huge superior double room on the 3rd floor with a little balcony with a view, for a 2+ night stay this was perfect. There’s a tin bath in the large bathroom and the shower had great pressure and very hot water. one of the best hotels of our...

While the room is small it was very comfortable, as were the beds. Despite it being immediately next to the railway station the double glazing kept noise to a minimum. We were not at all disturbed by the trains. The view out over the train lines is magnificent so get a room on that side rather than the town side.
We had a buffet breakfast included in the booking and it was great. Plenty to choose from and all good quality. We had dinner there as well and the meals were very good.

We enjoyed our stay, but the hotel needs a bit of work. The bathroom was dated and the shower cubicle tiny. Nice location but around 13.5kms drive from Lillehammer.

The cabins are small but fine for an overnight, the beds were very comfy and the bathroom is big with everything provided, they were spotless and the restaurant has good meals and a nice breakfast, the supermarket is walking distance for supplies. Great stop whilst driving.

Nice clean & tidy hotel. It was a very busy weekend for the hotel & car parking was at capacity.
There is a pool & sauna at the hotel.
The hotel is about 5 mins drive from Hafjell ski centre.

Great hotel with large rooms in comparison with newer hotels. Dinner at the hotel was one of our best in 4 weeks of travel. Walk to hotel hilly so some may need a taxi.

The best time to visit Mesnali depends on whether you're seeking winter sports or summer outdoor activities.
For winter sports enthusiasts, the period from December to April offers the best conditions. This is when the region is typically covered in snow, making it superb for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. Mesnali is very close to Lillehammer, which hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics, and you'll find excellent, well-maintained trails and slopes in the surrounding areas.
Summer visitors, looking for hiking, cycling, and enjoying the Norwegian scenery, will find May to September ideal. The weather is milder, the days are long, and the landscapes are green.
