Good price, yards from central plaza
Expected something quite simple based on reviews I'd read before booking, but was happy with my room for a 1 night stay. It was spacious and clean, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the fan was quiet and effective. Yes, it's a basic hotel, but the shower had hot water and reasonable water pressure, there was free wifi, and it was literally just round the corner from the main square, so for the price you can't really fault it.

Great location, budget price
Classic downscale old Mexican hotel. Minimal room furnishings. No hot water in shower but I did not care as it was 104F out in the streets so a cool water shower hit the spot. Nice breakfast included. Nice home cooking in restaurant.

My Sandals Got Lost in the Hotel Room
I made my hotel arrangements last minute and had to use Expedia in the hope that any hotel on Expedia site met a reasonable standard of accomodation. But this hotel was a nightmare. I had to circle the block twice to find it, as the beautiful facade of the hotel in Expedia did not indicate a hotel entrance in reality. But towards the end of the face, you come upon a hole in the wall type of restaurant, which you have to pass through as people were sitted and dining. At the end of the dining tables, youthen see the reception desk for the hotel. You are led into your room thorugh a dingy one-person stair case. The room was not in the best state of cleanliness and the bed sheets were sorry looking. I stayed for one night and checked out. Unfortunately, I forgot my sandals. When I came back the next day to retrieve my sandals, they claimed they did not see it. The manager's explanation was simply, "these things happen". Really? I asked and he confirmed that when a person checks out, they clean the room for the next guest. Yet, he asserted they did not find my sandals in the room. Sandals that I only where in the room and did not obviously were it outside the room for the one night I stayed there. I urged them to search for it and ask all the cleaning staff. I repeated daily for 10 days to see if they eventually "found" the sandals but no luck. This is the first time in my experience of traveling that my footwear has been stolen in my hotel room.

Location, location, location
If nothing else, this hotel is literally two minutes from the main plaza and cathedral that are the heart of the city of Merida, and for that it should definitely be on the short list for those wishing to minimise expenses on taxis etc. Having said that, the rooms themselves are sparse but clean. Hot water does not always work and one would do well to bring along a towel and toiletries. Aside from this, my only truly negative experience was concerning the restaurant staff downstairs who despite their best efforts are painfully slow with even basic orders such as coffee.

Passable if on a budget, but be prepared..
Pros: close to centre Cons: very, but very dirty. Unconfortable bed, passable bathroom. You get what you pay for i guess. Many more options near by, don't recomend it.

Basic but good. Super location right where you want to be, but it's a small city anyway so you are never far from the action. Great little cheap hotel, for the price I would say it's a good deal. Nothing amazing and don't expect luxury, but for a step above a hostel at hostel price it's great..

It was reasonable for the cost. No airconditioning which is hard because it's very humid. The cleaning staff were good and the reception staff were ok. No wifi in the room. Breakfast was good.

Historical Downtown
Our first room was by the office and was noisy, then next room was just ok. Breakfast was 2 toast, 6 slices of fruit, coffee and juice. The location was great, just off the square where we saw bands and shows and continuous activity.

Great location with good staff
I was looking for a cheap and safe location near the centre of town to plan further travels as well as relax. This hotel is run by a well-meaning and friendly group of people and despite the relative shortcomings of the room, I would return if I were in the same situation again. The restaurant is reasonably priced for its location though the included breakfast is quite small and I both days returned later in the morning to pay for something more. The WiFi works well enough for web browsing and email and is only in the lobby/restaurant.

It is a cheap place to stay and you get what you pay for there. It isn't very clean and the toilet barely flushed. The shower was the best thing about the room. We didn't want to stay in the room much. So, we went out and enjoyed the festivities of the Christmas holidays. We really liked the town plaza with all the food, vendors, lights, Mexican families, etc. If you are driving to Merida, the parking is very difficult in the downtown. We parked in a yellow zone and had to get up and out before 7AM in order not to have our car ticketed or towed. The staff at the counter was the same guy in the night and morning. He was nice.

Safe, clean, minimal. However, perfect location for the price without AC. You can't do much better that close to the main plaza. If you are going to upgrade, find something better.

Mi estancia fue corta pero muy agradable, el personal fue muy amable. Mi habitación siempre estuvo limpia. Además la ubicación estaba perfecta para mis necesidades. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Problemi "GROSSI" di parcheggio, quei pochi che ci sono, sono a pagamento. Stanza con un'unica finestra nel corridoio dell'albergo e la porta che anche da sulla strada riescono a vedere dentro: quindi rumorosa fino a tardi, non si riesce a dormire. Colazione che non è colazione....mooolto scarna

La asistencia del personal administrativo, asi como de servicio de restaurant fué muy bueno, ya que se prestan para darte la mejor información sobre los lugares que desees visitar,lo único malo que le vi y les indiqué que lo arreglaran fué el baño de la habitación número 12, algo se pudo arreglar pero no del todo, sin embargo con mucho gusto llegaré al mismo hotel en mi próxima visita. Saludos afectuosos . El dueño o administrador del hotel es muy gentil, pero le falta comunicación con los huéspedes, pero en si es excelente en su trato, muy fino y muy amable. Cordialmente. Ing. No lo recomiendo
Hotel muy muy descuidado. No lo considero barato porque elegi cuarto con a/c el cual ni enfriaba bien. Salimos corriendo al dia siguiente y por 70 pesos mas nos quedamos en un hotel mil veces mejor Deverian poner fotos reales de los pasillos y la recepción

Super sencillo
Para el bajo costo que ofrece, está bien. Es un hotel tipo de cuando vas a una convención y vas al hotel solamente a quedarte a dormir y buscaste un hotel de muy bajo costo para reducir tus gastos. La comida está regular y las instalaciones también, pero como dije, por el precio lo que ofrecen es pasable.

Terrible el servicio de agua caliente, no había y su excusa fue que el técnico ya se había ido. El calor insoportable (los materiales de construcción guardan mucho calor en la habitación, peor por que fue a un lado de cocina (habitación 31). En el hotel (la entrada es) hay un "restaurante" (fondita) que entra de todo tipo de personas ), si te toca habitación cerca de la zona de restaurante, escucharas ruido temprano y hasta noche de niños(llorones), viejitos etc... Lo positivo fue el trato de la recepcionista (matutino), magnifica su atención, muy atenta y amable. Así mismo el desayuno que venia incluido, modesto pero de buen sazón la comida, muy atentos y amables también los meseros. En general recomiendo, habitación con aire acondicionado $480 (CLIMA PARA ELLOS, "AIRE" para ellos es puro ventilador) o irse al hotel lord que esta por esa misma calle, 200mts aprox.

céntrico pero no tan limpio
EL hotel es pequeño, lo único rescatable es la atención que fue muy amable. La ubicación es cómoda pero las sábanas se veían sucias y las camas muy viejas. Al llegar te entregan las toallas y un jabón pequeño... no más de eso. los muebles de los cuartos desgastados, La habitación que me asignaron no está en las condiciones que se muestran en las fotografías de su página de internet, si fue decepcionante.
