"The hotel itself is fine and the staff are excellent. But to describe the hotel as "ski-in/ski-out" is wholly misleading. The exit/entrance involved a dangerous traverse across about 100m of sheet ice. The hotel itself recommended against using the route, instead suggesting using the free shuttle. That runs about every 90 minutes, so is basically useless. So don't stay here if you don't want to have to drive to the resort each day. Also, don't make the mistake of buying the full Paradiski...
"Room did not look like photos. We had to make our own beds!!! The hotel is in a remote location where the restaurant and local grocery store were closed. The hotel staff did not inform us ahead of our stay, forcing us to drive 60 minutes both ways to find the nearest play to dine."
"Absolutatemente lamentable. Las sillas rotas, la fregona del siglo pasado, la luz del baño fundida, el suelo pegajoso, ceniceros sin limpiar... y lo peor... NO HABIA SABANAS NI TOALLAS, ni responden a los email o las llamadas!!!!"
"No towels and bed sheets provided whereas it should have. Poor communication. I was told towels and sheets would be delivered next day before noon, but was then told it is impossible!!!
Tiny apartment, just fits one person, with shelves for only one day change of clothes. Dirty beds and sofas, old furniture…
OVERPRICED!!!
To be avoided!!!"

"The hotel is relatively new and therefore the facilities are in great conditions. The decorations and furniture give the place a nice ambience. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoyed staying at Best Western in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne."
"The beds were incredibly comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are a little tight, and the service can be a little slow in the lobby at busy times, but I would recommend the place without hesitation. It has a fantastic family atmosphere, too."
"Super nice grandma managing the b&b helped by his family. Lovely and close to ski slopes by car (20 mins). Of course not a luxury location given the price, but very good price to quality ratio.
Call before to organize the checkin!"

Large apartment in Meribel-Mottaret (facing south)
10/10 Excellent
"This was a perfect apartment for our three families. Great location, close to slopes, ski hire shop and mini supermarket. The apartment itself was clean, spacious with plenty of room for everyone to sit, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good showers. We hope to return. Merci Benoit! "
"Excellent location. Excellent value for money. The best 2 bartenders in the world (shoutout to George and Freddie for the exceptional service and sharing yoir drink making artistry!). Nice to be able to book a private 30 min hot tub (would be great if it was a touch hotter and a little less bubbly!) the themed dinner nights were excellent and the food very good. We opted for the half board which was excellent value (even considering we opted for one night out at Les Coursives in Meribel village which was the best French food I’ve ever tasted!).
Suggest a kettle in the dining room for those of us who like scalding hot tea :)
The rooms were big and the beds comfy. Our room had carpet which I personally hate. The lounge was kitschy and cool and had just the right feel before and apres ski. Loved the combo of old charm and low tech with all you need for a delightful stay and this quirky spot. Would definitely come back. "
"The images on orbitz does not do it service. The Lobby quite spacious, rooms spacious by European standards, the dining is superb, 3 restaurants in hotel with large patio service, superb profession service, and the chef preparations for dinner exquisite, gymn, pool, sauna etc. Staff very friendly and professional, would return. & best of all SKI IN/SKI OUT !!! For us skiers. Magical vacation for my wife & I. "
"Great apartment with everything you need for a very comfortable stay, but it’s the location that’s really great over-looking the slopes and true ski-in ski-out location."
5-person apartment - skis on + covered parking - Méribel-Mottaret
10/10 Excellent
"We loved this apartment which was right on the ski slopes and could be returned to by several routes. It was very peaceful and had everything we needed. It also had covered parking - which was a godsend as all the nearby parking was full - I'm not sure what you would do if in an apartment with no parking. Communication was excellent with very useful tips and lists of what to bring and clear directions. We missed two things in the listing - we hadn't realised we had to take sheets and towels, but the owner had this in the list of things to take - so all good - and the apartment has no WiFI. We had mobile signal all the time and 5G most of the time. The pillows are French square pillows, you can fit them in a UK pillowcase, but if you have space you might want to take one top UK pillow - not essential, we slept fine. The small local supermarket was amazingly stocked for its size. Excellent dishes to buy eg coq au vin etc. and you can order rotisserie chickens. The free bubble down to the centre of the resort was easy to access and efficient. We would happily stay here again."
"Stay at the hotel was great, the location is ideal - the best in Meribel-Mottaret, the dishes in the restaurant are really delicious.
I will definitely visit the hotel next season. "
Le Pralin, Studio apartment for 4, in perfect location by lifts and shops
