"We traveled with another couple and rented two cabins. The front desk manager, Steve, was very accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable and all the amenities were nice. It's all about the view and it was well worth it. The restaurant staff was very nice but their menu could use some upgrading, like more seafood and portions adjusted. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. Rent #5 cottage, it's absolutely wonderful! "

"We had a fantastic stay here; the forested location is beautiful and perfectly quiet. The indoor space is thoughtfully laid out, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed eating breakfast on the large deck overlooking the surrounding woods. The listing and the many glowing reviews are 100% accurate. "We really enjoyed our stay here. We like the outdoors and we could walk to the bluffs right from the cottage. We also went to Van Damme State Park, very close by. The cottage and yard are really nice, cozy and comfortable. We would stay here again!"

"It was a mother/daughter working weekend. Perfect location. We were at the JD House, queen guesthouse with a fireplace and were able to park right in front.
