Our covered verandas and spacious outdoor decked area offer the perfect spot to relax and unwind, maybe with a glass of local wine in hand. Inside, you'll find a clean, cosy and comfortable home with everything you need. Our fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances and crockery you need to cook up a storm, and our extra-large dining table is perfect for family meals or board game nights.

Our open-plan living areas are air-conditioned and heated for your comfort, and the wood fire in the lounge room adds an extra touch of warmth and cosiness. There's even a TV for those who can't bear to be without it, although we encourage you to switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Our three bedrooms offer comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to six guests, with a king-size bed in the master bedroom, a queen-size bed in the second bedroom, and two king single beds in the third bedroom. And with full laundry facilities, including a washing machine and dryer, you can pack light and stay as long as you like.

Lovely Garden

The house is well situated in beautiful grounds, the views are wonderful. House is comfortable, true to the photos. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.

Great Yarra Valley Escape

Lovely accommodation with clean & comfortable beds, clean bathroom & a well-stocked kitchen. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness as there were some cobwebs in one bedroom and another web hanging from the rafter in another bedroom!A minor downside was the lack of wifi. I wasn’t able to access my emails (sent at 3am on the day of checkout) for checkout instructions. That wasn’t a big issue but a better idea would be to leave a printed version in the folder on the table.

Peaceful cottage near Yarra Glen

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family (3 adults, and 2 children) stayed at Rivendell Cottage for a night in September 2023. We enjoyed our stay overall; the cottage felt like home, the hosts were hospitable and provided us with fruits and snack, which was well received by my children. The dam and a creek nearby provided a tranquil and beautiful setting for a stroll. The cottage had a lovely fireplace, full equipped kitchen, a shower and a bath. The beds came with electric blankets that kept us warm at night. I only have three comments as feedback which can be easily improved; first, I received several irrelevant emails regarding my booking/payment which was caused by wrong owner settings, secondly guest soap, shampoo and toiletries which are common guest hospitality could have been provided, and lastly to our disappointment the water in the accommodation was switched off at 10 AM when our check out time was 11 AM.

Overpriced but a lovely location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I didn't receive any check in messages until days later and I've now been flooded with them. Luckily the owner phoned me and I was able to get the code for the locked box. The house is dated, but comfortable and had most of what we expected. There was no hair-dryer and only conditioner in the shower. Possibly left by a previous guest. For the price we really would have appreciated having the heater on before we arrived because it was very cold in the house. One of the dining chairs was unstable and rickety. We liked the big towels and the beds were comfortable. We were surprised that we had to pay $100 for cleaning which really pushed up the cost. We only stayed here because our booking was last minute and we couldn't find anything else that was cheaper.
