"Check in was efficient. Room had Lovely view of Barfusskirche and weather that allowed for open windows. Easy walking distance from Bahnhof (even with heavy suitcase), and the delightful Kraemerbrueke. Somewhat loud on the street at night but not too bad. Room was very clean. Breakfast room was sunny and well staffed with bread, eggs (boiled or scrambled), all kinds of cheese and meats, jams, honey, and several types of tea. "Steigenberger Esplanade is exceptional. The room was perfect, breakfast superior, and the hostess at breakfast was delightful. Everybody was friendly and helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself couldn't be in a better location. It's within walking distance to the town square all the local restaurants and pubs, and some great shopping! Parking is in the garage and there is always parking available! Do yourself a favor and spoil yourself with a stay at Steigenberger Esplanade Jena. It's definitely it!"
