Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Richmond West at I-64, VA

8/10 Good
"Pros: The bed and pillows were actually super comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very nice. Continental favorites plus some eggs, waffles, and sausage. The lady that worked the breakfast was on top of everything. She worked so hard to keep things filled and cleaned. The room and beds were clean. The pool area was perfect for kids. We all felt safe. It would have gotten a perfect school but a few minor things could use improvement… The cons: 1. The ac was on but not adjustable at all. First day the room was really hot so I would have liked to turn the ac up. During the day the ac seemed to struggle so the room was rather warm with it being hot outside. But one night I woke up freezing but couldn’t turn it down. It was a typical unit that sits under the window but most hotels you can adjust it or turn ac on or off or heat on or off. It wasn’t working right. 2. The tv only had a handful of channels just sports/news and Spanish channels. Maybe 10-15 channels top-nothing for kids otherwise I would not care. 3. The smell of weed was annoying especially with little kids. It also causes headaches for a member of my family who has a disorder. 4. Although the kids enjoyed the pool—the room was miserably hot. The “whirlpool/hot tub” jets did not work. Once in the pool you can’t tell how warm the room was. The pool was very cloudy our last day there. The pool did have amazingly late hours."
