"Stayed here 2 years in a row for Thanksgiving with my out of town boyfriend and his mother. Last year there was a small issue with a TV in my room and instead of just fixing the issue, I was upgraded to a deluxe suite and allowed to keep the other room! This year, met the same staff member who not only remembered me, but upgraded me AGAIN on the spot before i'd even checked in! Aside from even that, the property and location is gorgeous. The amenities are many, and the rooms are a great representation of ontario woodland living. I'll be taking the staffs advice, and staying here every year at minimum. Thanks for an amazing vacation spot for me and my loved ones."

"Beautiful cabin and property. Glass door wood stove kept the entire place warm and was romantic. Excellent fishing and swimming spot. Loads of privacy. I recommend renting the boat in cooler weather but paddling in would not be hard in good weather. Large screen porch and screen room at water were great. Lots of firewood to be found. Plan for an off grid experience with the comfort of a gorgeous cabin. The hosts were some of the nicest people I have ever talked to and were very accommodating. I recommend speaking to them directly. Loved this place!"

"I booked a surprise getaway for my husband and I - and we have officially found our new yearly place to stay at! Booking with John was so smooth. His property is beautiful, quiet but yet with so many things you can do. The views from the docks were breathtaking. We laid in the hammock, enjoying the sun and the fall colours across the lake and read a book. At night we started the woodstove, cuddled up and enjoyed a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook every meal. John was also phenomenal at communicating, and answered any question we had. We look forward coming back next year with our family."

"Overall this place was amazing and exactly what we had hoped for. Pros: Overall - beautiful inside and out. Would stay again in a heart beat. Remote in the sense no neighbours, no excess noise. I saw a few bad reviews about the AC but we had no issues and it was a very muggy week. Wifi worked great. Once we had wifi the communication with hosts was amazing. Cons/improvement opportunities: fire pit area is rather small for a rental that could sleep up to 16. Check in process was rocky as there was no cell service (not their fault) and we rented a boat from the owners, but it was not there so could not get to the cottage right away. They made it right but just a kink in our first day. The dock needs a little bit of TLC, parts of it would go under water at times. Some items weren’t on site that were mentioned in listing."
