"I spent one night there and it was okay. Don't expect anything fancy. The motel staff were nice, and they were okay with my late check-in. There is no tea or coffee in the room, but you can get some from their office."

"I booked a surprise getaway for my husband and I - and we have officially found our new yearly place to stay at! Booking with John was so smooth. His property is beautiful, quiet but yet with so many things you can do. The views from the docks were breathtaking. We laid in the hammock, enjoying the sun and the fall colours across the lake and read a book. At night we started the woodstove, cuddled up and enjoyed a movie. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook every meal. John was also phenomenal at communicating, and answered any question we had. We look forward coming back next year with our family."

"Had a fun relaxing week here. The neighbour was not very friendly and was rude about us having a fire after 6pm. Asked us if we read the rules of fire times. Also yelled at our dogs to shut up. Sorry dogs do bark when they hear strange noises like ur lawnmower starting up."

"I have stated this property before. But not this exact apartment. My previous experience was better. The host had a housekeeping, scheduling issue, so the host, and I had agreed that I would clean the apartment, change the bedding, do the dishes from the previous renter, etc., for a discounted rate. They did honour it right away. I will not let this determine me from staying there again, because I know what the apartment is and the host is very responsive"

"Our second year at this home and we had a wonderful time. The new dock was great - we were able to put kayaks and boards into the river safely and spent many hours of fun on the water. The location works very well for us to visit friends and family in the area. We also found Richard Thomas Memorial Park - a beautiful little park and swimming spot. We stayed August 1 - 8."

"My family had an amazing stay at The Shores of Deer Lake. The property was clean and quiet. There was a lot of space for my daughter and dog to play. Having the lake as our backyard was amazing. Bonus.. there was the perfect little beach just steps away from our door. The water was warm and calm enough to canoe and kayak in. We also met some amazing people which made our stay even more memorable. We will definitely be booking again."
