"A UP vacation isn't about pampered luxury but about getting immersed in local atmosphere IMHO. This basic small property was ideal for a first time trip to the Deer Park area with easy access, central location and all amenities you'd expect in remote lodging. "Host could have at least provided water of some sort. Smelled musty, no dishes or utensils not even cups for coffee, if I wanted to do dishes couldn't even do that as there was not kitchen towels or wash cloths provided. Fire pit but no wood. I'm not sure what a cleaning fee is for. There is nothing to clean. Beds are just mattresses on floor with fitted sheet. Overall 0 stars"

"Spent our daylight hours chasing grouse. Cabin was great, mini split hvac allowed for comfort in every room. Good Wi-Fi and overall very comfortable"

"My wife, two Labradors and I had a wonderful stay at the Stone House. The location was convenient to many local attractions. The house exceeded our expectations! Plenty of room, decent WIFI, AC for the hot days. There were water toys for the lake. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake each day and taking walks. It's difficult to find a rental that will allow two larger dogs and we are grateful to have found this place. We will happily return to Stone House for another visit."
