"Breakfast was great! Bed was comfy and amenities were above standards. Staff (especially Jocelyn) were very helpful when bedside lamp didn't work as expected. Unfortunately no one seemed to know that light needed to be turned on from wall (which was odd since the matching lamp on other side of bed wasn't like that at all.) Maintenance had to come explain this unusual (and seemingly unnecessary) set-up. My friends on first floor however got little sleep due to noisy neighbors and children running up and down the halls with no supervision."
"There was no sign for the hotel. It did not look like the picture on the computer. It had holes in the curtains,an electrical outlet did not have a cover plate. Wallpaper was coming off the walls. The bathroom fixture( water faucet ) was not securely attached, Many more things. Don’t want to spend time listing them."
"The place might be nice in a different room or, better yet, cabin. It was spotless, so top marks for cleanliness.
We had a studio, which can mean many things. In this case it meant TINY. Less than half the size of a small hotel room. We had to leave our suitcases (carry-on size) in the car. No room to open them in the room. Best for one person only, traveling light.
Mattress and pillows were past their prime.
Place is old, which can be charming, but walls and ceilings so thin we felt like our heads were being stomped on all night by the folks above us, and we could clearly hear their entire conversation.
We would return to the place, but not to the room."
"We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, when I opened the door I was immediately disappointed. It was extremely small, the living room was about 10 feet wide. Kitchen was the same, it looked like they took a regular size room and put in a partition with small fireplace.
The coffee maker was a single cup machine, the decor was strange, and furniture was hard, sturdy, and uncomfortable. Entire closet was about 3 feet long no more. This hotel has no store on the premises, and sits on a steep hill limiting access to ammentities across the street. Either climb 4 flights of steep stairs or drive across the street! My wife and I are mid 60s so the stairs were not our best option. We were so disappointed with this hotel we left a day early with no option for any refund due to booking through Expedia (3rd party).
Anyway we learned a lesson and it wasn't what we expected. We've had 1 bedroom suites in Hawaii & Puerto Vallarta, both made this one look like a studio apartment. Needless to say we won't be back!"
"The inn has 3 buildings. 2 look to be newer or recently remodeled. The 3rd building is very, very old. The stairs are worn badly and in poor shape. My room was really clean but old. The heater in the wall didn’t work so they provided a small plug in type heater. There had been some drywall repairs by the heater that had not been painted after the repairs, there had been new baseboards installed but the wall above the baseboards had not been painted to
Match the walls. The window blinds had been previously broken and never replaced. I can’t speak about how the newer building compare."
