HORRIBLE... Busquen otro hotel: es sucio, el elevador no sirve, el A/C no funciona, huele horrible, colchones viejos, baños sucios, pisos en mal estado... NO TIENE WIFI... Tv viejo... Experiencia horrible...

Hotel rooms are super old and have fungus
I would not stay there again. The rooms are super old and the room has a humidity problem. Even fungus is visible in the room. This hotel has serious issues since I noticed other people complaining during check-in and checkout.

Somewhat nice, but not worth the hassle.
Our stay was not great, as the hotel was under construction and every time we asked for help they couldn't help us. Most of the employees were not happy to work there, but a few helped make our time salvageable. I would not recommend going to this hotel because it is obvious they are trying to take every dollar that you have.

When I booked through Expedia, it was breakfast included, when I arrived there they said breakfast is not included. the cleaners are great but there are many hidden fees such as charging for coffee in the room but never replace, charging for water but never replaced either. two pots of coffee and one bottle of water hotel charged us 255 pesos, they talk you into a free breakfast if you do the time share tour even though I told them I don't believe in it etc. they are very pushy about their time share, don't fall into signing anything that got to do with time share, there are many other hotels much better and cheaper.

Clean lobby, not so clean room.
I had the pleasure of staying here for a recent family vacation. The location is great, lobby and 1st floor amenities are immaculate. The room that was in was not quite. The couches were crusty, someone's panty liner was on my door handle. Overall I would give the hotel a 7.5/10. Great but needs improvement. I would have liked to stay longer to enjoy the other amenities they have to offer.

The pool was the only reason i pick this hotel and the indoor and half the outdoor pool closed. My bed was big and uncomfortable. They took over three hours on the presentation suppose to be one hour only!!!

This hotel is slated to be torn down.
No room in this hotel should be rented the ocean breeze is scheduled to be torn down black mold in the bathroom air conditioning doesn't work two televisions both broken very bad condition I was informed they try to stop making reservations but it was too late to stop people who already had one. The staff was helpful but nothing they could do about restoring a 45 year old hotel in disrepair

Room was extremely cold. The air conditioner was creating condensation after it was turned down. The room we had was too small for the furniture that was in it. You could hardly move around without bumping into something.

We spent one night at hotel. Which did not give us enough time to explore everything hotel has to offer. Our suites were very clean with kitchen that had little of everything. The hotel great for family groups.

What can I say ,but what they told me and it sums it up " This building is just a filler on our reservation site, and is going to be demo " How can you complain if that is there answer. Very very dirty the air was very loud until I broke down and had to be fixes. The tv was about from 1985 and would have to move the cabals to get a signal. But the weather was grate.

The rooms are horrible I couldn´t belive the price with the room. At first they gave me a room that I couldn´t belive it existed ... it was the more horrible thing I have ever seen it was old and smells like humid, I could eat it the room. I wasn´t confortable at all I it wasn´t inviting at all to eat or to be there. Then they gave us a little better room, but it was on the 5th floor and the tower is for the floors and the capacity of the 2 elevators was for 8 each. I am sorry but to come with kids is really not practical at all I use the stars most of the time because it was imposible to wait so long. The hotel was very bad planned. But what we did like where the restaurants and the pools and the instalations they were pretty but they just not match with the room and pratical the room were very little.

Overall a great experience for the entire family
We liked this hotel very much. Their staff was always very friendly, prompt, and courteous. Check in was fast, our room was clean and comfortable,the pools and games for the kids were awesome, and the location although a little far from the tourism's area was very good. We had a couple of room appliances difficulties (bath tub and sink), but were promptly fixed. The hotel has many activities to enjoy for the entire family, a very convenient happy hour time, but they charge for WI FI.

Nice Hotel next to the Beach
We had a wonderful time in Mazatlán! There are a lot of snowbirds that go to the Sea Garden for the winter so there were not a lot of children. Although mine didn't mind having the pool to themselves. The staff organizing games were always sure to try to include them in any activities that were going on.

This 'hotel' is part of the Mayan Sea Garden complex.. If we weren't extremely familiar with Mazatlan, I don't think that we would ever have found it, as 'Ocean Breeze' appears to be the name of a time-share type of thing, and is not the name of the hotel. European style duvets and bedding were advertised, but they were not used. Just the same old sheets and blankets. etc. People were friendly and the hotel, although older, has been maintained. It was nice, but I wouldn't stay there again.

We booked an ocean view room and were given a parking lot view. Staff told us it was our problem, to resolve with Expedia. The next day we succeeded in getting our ocean view; it took time. This was our third time at Ocean Breeze, but also our last. Maid service was not as good as in the past: Kleenex flowers and towel birds, but the floor not as clean as it should have been. The grounds are great, the pools clean, and the poolside noise and activity not objectionable. This is a timeshare on its downhill run; there are a lot of these in Mazatlan. There are better places to stay for the same or less money.

service was very poor and the front desk did not care about you unless you where a owner. went to the front desk and they where helping some one. when they where done they help some one else, they where a owner. when done again I ask again for help and they could care less for I do not own there. ants in the room not uncomen in mexico but alot of ants. the most expense motel I have stayed in for the vaule. paid for 2 weeks and after 1 week I got a room at Pueblo Bonito and it was less money great service no ants freindly alot nicer rooms. there is nocomparision in the two places

An alright experience.
They gave us a very nice free upgrade for being honeymooners. The service of the staff was just ok, many of them weren't over the top friendly or even know any english at all. This hotel caters to snow birds and canadians. Don't do the timeshare they suck you into when you get checked in, most horrible time share experience by far. Over the top pushy and down right rude. We knew what the time share was about and have done many before, but never had such a bad experience like the one we had at ocean breeze. The gifts we got for attneding the time share was 10% off our hotel purchases, free taxi ride to the airport when we left, and they offered us a city tour which we do not recommend. The city tour consisted of going to the sponsors and being obligated to purchase from them. There's not much around the hotel, it's about 20 min away from the "golden zone" where all the tourists go. Overall we had a great week there but were expecting more fun.

Helpful and Friendly Staff
The events that travel agencies over through the hotel are great -- they include transportation to and from the hotel and usually drinks and a meal too! I especially recommend trying "Salsa and Salsa" if you want to experience a little culture while learning the dance and how to make 7 Mexican salsas (along with some Margarita recipes). Sailing trip is not recommended if you have sailing experience and are looking to get out on the open sea, however it makes for a family friendly, fun day at an island beach with kayaks snorkeling.

Full attention to all the details
The hotel complex at this location has a clear committment to quality in all regards. Their beachfront access and amenities are the best we have encountered. The facility's excellent maintenance is especially apparent in contrast to two other well-known and patronized locations we have spent many weeks at in the past, in the so-called Golden Zone. The GZ has a lot of shops and excellent small places to eat, but it is generally dirty, and the auto exhaust pollution along Av. Camaron Sabalo is hard to take. The GZ and Centro are easily accessible from Ocean Breeze by the "green bus" for 9 Pesos -- about 75 cents.

july 2010 ocean breeze vacation
I have never been to a resort in Mexico and this place was a pleasent suprise, The beach front was clean and beautiful,the staff was more than helpful with anything we requested or needed,The resort is kind of out in the boonies so taxie fares will kill ya,but if you want privacy,low traffic and a family suite with a ocean view you would die for and are on a budget look no farther.We stayed 5 days spent the most of our vacation budget in the shops in the golden zone,i suggest eat the food by the pool its cheaper charge it to your room and get a extra 10 % off plus we were given * pesos credit for our stay there,Had a blast go in july or august and get the best deals paid * dollars a night.
