"The cleanliness and condition of the Japanese style room was excellent with separate entrance, washroom, toilet and 3 tatami areas giving more than ample space for 3 guests. Breakfast was good and the staff efficient and helpful. Didn’t try the onsen as just a brief stop "

"I loved the Onsen especially the outdoor Onsen with stone sides (on top floor and well fenced). The laundry worked well. Breakfast was excellent although the breakfast room is a bit cramped. Room was large by Japanese standards and comfortable. The free treats and bedtime noodles are great. Overall a lovely stay. "

"We would strongly recommend that you stay in this guest house if you are in Matsumato. It is historic and ideally positioned in an older part of town. The staff spoke English and were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was large, comfortable and extremely clean, with an excellent bathroom. "

"This hotel was a great little find. Very affordable and comfortable. A business hotel so they had laundry service in Japanese public bath on site. Matsumoto is a cute little town and very walkable from the hotel. Also, the hotel is literally two blocks from Matsumoto castle, a great location."
