"Reception is unattended after hours and on the weekends. You have to call a number for someone to come done. Slightly inconvenient as I was going to request to leave my bags behind the counter while I went to my meeting but there was no one there and I didn’t have time to wait. "

"Okay for a one night stay. Right in town so easy to get around. The hotel is old so you get what you pay for. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good, so that was all that I wanted for the price."

"We were in Whangarei heads area for a sailing regatta and staying in this bach made our week really special. They have kept all the quirky charm of a well renovated Kiwi bach yet tastefully added to it so that our group of 10 fitted easily and had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen is small but very well equipped with everything we needed and the fridge was large plus an extra fridge if needed. We loved the very large dining table so that we could all eat together. Best of all is the wonderful view across the estuary and the kayaks. Pataua south is a relaxed quiet seaside village and we enjoyed the walks to both outer beaches and jumping off the foot bridge! I would love to return with my family for a holiday "
