We were looking for a place to stay as we visited Yosemite. The cabin was located in a very remote and quiet location. Although the entrance to the park was about 1 hour away, we enjoyed having the cabin as home base after a long day in the park. We enjoyed watching the wildlife (deer, turkey, hummingbirds) as we relaxed in the hot tub. Overall nice experience.
My husband and I decided to go to Yosemite since he has never been. I was excited to gobas well since i did live in the area back in 1988. Loved living and working close to Yosemite. We enjoyed our stay. We did take our dog Griz with us. Fun time had by all. The house was comfortable and the area was perfectly serene
Great place to get away from the city. We visited Yosemite from this house and yes, it’s an hour or so to the entrance to the park, but we were able to do one entrance one day and a different entrance the second day. Both are beautiful drives from the house. The property managers gave lots of good tips for the area and great directions to finding the house. We really enjoyed waking up to all of the little bunnies and quail. Last day we were there we were visited by turkeys. It was hot weather but the house stayed comfortable with just ceiling fans. And grilled all of our meals on the deck with the propane grill. It was the escape from the city that we needed

Location was great for exploring Yosimite. Easy parking. Gorgeous and cozy interior. Comfy reading chairs. Big dining table. We loved waking up to bunnies around the property. I would definitely recommend this place. There were a couple of issues that can be easily solved. There were only 4 forks for eating. (We grabbed plastics from nearby grocery store) But it would be nice to have 6~8 girls avsilable. The Mattress on the bottom bunk has a sink hole one one side, it probably needs to be flipped. Felt like I was falling out of bed. It took a long time to boil a pot of water. Not sure if this was elevation issue or the gas pressure was low.
This property is a great place to go to get away and enjoy the outdoors. It is cozy, we’ll decorated and spacious.
Although it is a far drive into Yosemite (over an hour) we love the location! It ia half way between mariposa and Oakhurst.
Our dog is in heaven there too. Lots of burrs when she runs around but it was worth every brush out.
We will be back!
The cabin is set back in a cozy dry wilderness with not much to do or see, but very private with a jacuzzi to enjoy. There is plenty of dish ware for cooking and other essential equipment. The washing machine and dryer is huge. I need to get me one of those. The beds were firm and comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed are stay and would return. Thanks for having such a nice place.
Cabin look on outside - beautiful home on inside. Kitchen, laundry and main bathroom are upgraded with gorgeous appliances, countertops and flooring. Easy to follow instructions posted everywhere. No problem getting to Yosemite from here. Great value for what you get in this home. I highly recommend staying here.
Great place to chill out. An HOUR outside of either entrance to Yosemite but it’s manageable and the drive on 140 is memorable, along the Merced river to the El Portal entrance. Would do it again!
Very updated and comfortable home/cabin with a rustic feel. On 11 beautiful acres with a small creek to enjoy. Loved the porch around the home. The birds were awesome too! Saw 2 bucks as we drove in on our first day! It was a bit of a drive to Yosemite, about 1 1/2 hours but the drive is gorgeous!
It was lacking a bit on supplies, i.e. no cooking oil or Pam to prevent food from sticking on pans, no hot pads, only a couple bags for the kitchen trash cans and TV remote batteries were dead, but overall, we absolutely loved our time here!!

Cabin in the Woods
Well appointed remote cabin - away from the noise and crowds near Mariposa. Has everything you need and the hosts were responsive to any and all requests. 20 minutes from town, 1:15 mins from main entrance to Yosemite. Plan a day just to hang around the house - it's beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Enjoy.

Lovely stay for Yosemite day-trips
Charming, quiet cabin. All the appliances and furnishings were very clean and high-quality. It took us 80 minutes to drive to Yosemite village, and we hit very little traffic. Good place to stay to access the park if you're willing to get up early to beat the crowds.

Log home in the country side
You will be staying in a wonderfully remodeled and nicely furnished log cabin home with lots of character and attention to detail. The house and its layout worked well for our family of 5 with 3 teenage boys. There is a lot of space, the beds are new and the loft, which sleeps one or 2 people and needs to be climbed with a ladder, is a fun place to hang out. The kitchen has pretty much everything and there is enough silverware/stoneware to not run the dishwasher after every meal. We also felt taken good care of by the owners, Tchukon and Carolyn, who live close by and were very responsive for questions/needs.
The log cabin is situated off highway 49 - it is super quiet up here and we had some "visitors" in form of turkeys, deer, quails and bats - and about a one hour drive to both Yosemite entrances. We did beat the 4th-of-July crowd by simply showing up early at the gates (around 7 am). It is a great location and a true alternative to staying inside Yosemite Park. Mariposa town is close with lots of restaurants and cute shops, we hiked near Bass Lake and did zip-lining. We will be back for sure!

As the villa of your dreams
Secluded, but not remote,a chalet where you feel as in your own villa, and where you sleep deeply.Even the fridge is noiseless.
If you do not wish to cook, without having to drive to Mariposa,Steve's Cafe is only 4 miles away, with good food and good service.
If we did not live so far (France),we would like to spend the weekends there.

Peaceful "Off The Beaten Path" home
Our family (four adults) had a beautiful September week here. We enjoyed warm days and cool nights. The home is very well equipped and in a lovely location. We shared the land with quail, turkeys and other birds. One day a bobcat walked by and we heard coyotes at night. Incredible!
Three of our party hiked Half Dome in Yosemite. We also drove the beautiful Glacier Drive. Sequoia National Park is in driving distance where the awesome Congress Walk is near General Sherman tree. Shopping/eating favorites: Costa Livos Mountain Gold Olive Oil store and Savoury Restaurant in Mariposa, thrift stores in Oakhurst. Especially nice is just sitting at home reading and watching wildlife... We definitely recommend this home!

Great location
Just returned home from a wonderful vacation. Loved the location. Mariposa is a wonderful small town. Lots of driving to get around, but able to disconnect from the craziness of "tourists" at Yosemite, and relax each night in our own little piece of paradise. Greeted by hummingbirds, quail, turkey, deer and the occasional bobcat. We used your recommendations on some of the trails within each park.

Gorgeous cabin off the grid
The property had a gorgeous kitchen and bathroom and was very homey away from home. The owner came by to meet and gave some great ideas with regards to hikes in Yosemite which we decided to experience. The beauty was no cell service as well but good wifi if you absolutely need to communicate. Recommend for a relaxing time away from the busyness of life.
