"Amritara Beach Symphony is a little paradise. I loved my bungalow and enjoyed being close to the public beach where local families turn out to watch the sunset and fishermen haul in their catch in the morning. The pool is gorgeous, surrounded by lush greenery. The staff was attentive and helpful and arranged an amazing sunrise backwater boat tour. It felt like home-- would definitely stay again! "Beach was beautiful- World Class! The room was perfect- great size. Food was excellent with good variety for all. Pool was fun and clean. Staff was amazing and helpful. But remember that you are in a resort- best to go out and do some local shopping to get a real feel for the area. Recommend guests to go out on the beach first light to see the fishing boats come in."
"Unfortunately I had to cut short the holiday as the hotel is not what I was expecting.
It has no restaurant on site
TV did not work
WIFI was non existent
The beech is a 15 minute walk
The reception didn't look like one
The rooms were stuffy and smelt of stale air
The shower in one of the rooms did not work
The road leading to the room was muddy following the monsoon with no amenities to keep your shoes clean.
On the plus point:
The staff were enthusiastic and helpful

"Very friendly homestay. We stayed 1 night. Excellent communication before we arrived, dinner and breakfast were delicious, the room was as described. The couple running the place are lovely."
"The boat was nowhere close to what was advertised and what we paid for. Room was advertised as premium but actual was far from it. Very poor room and supporting amenities. Linen, bathroom etc very very poor and not reflecting premium room. Poor linen - holes in linen and towels brown and very worn. No wifi on board even though advertised as with WIFI. No tissues or toilet paper as well as no bath mats. Very unhygienic facility but were asked to walk without shoes onboard."
"Property is located on the prime location. It’s a calm and silent area. But the facilities provided like electric kettle and all are damaged. Bathroom door handles were damaged in some rooms."

"Absolutely phenomenal property. There is a lot to do from fishing and kayaking to pottery and cultural programs. The staff too was exceptional. I regret not getting staff members names as they were very thoughtful and helpful. Highly recommend spending a few days at this resort."

"Very nice, very helpful staff. Lovely property—especially the villas with private pools. Good gym, good restaurant. Only downside is that it’s pretty isolated with not a lot to do nearby. But if relaxation is what you want, you’ll get it."
"Ripples Resort made our Kerala vacation. The food, service, and accommodations were all excellent. We stayed for five nights.
We had a bungalow near the canal. It was spacious, with a big living room, a bedroom, a small dressing area (I think), and an outdoor shower. It felt peaceful and private.
We did yoga on the last three days. I wish we’d started earlier. Deepa, the instructor, checked in with us and built routines that worked for our level. I’m not usually into yoga, but I looked forward to it each morning.
The food was everything I’d hoped for—authentic Kerala dishes, full of flavor. One morning, I even got to try sweet toddy. That was a treat.
There were bugs, but picaridin saved the day. I've stayed in other resorts in the area. I'm going back to this place."
