"Autumn is the perfect time to stay, a log burner and interior stone wall cottage what more can one wanter the ambient fell. We had a relaxing time soaking up the rural life, a short drive to the blue pools and Haast further up the road for some coastal fishing. Mount Shrimpton walk a couple of kms up the road, due to time unfortunately didn't get to walk the whole track but definitely worthwhile to add to your itinerary if you like a bit of a climb. Beautiful lake access to Lake Hawea 15minutes...
