"★★★★☆ We stayed at The Greyhound Coaching Inn as part of our 34th wedding anniversary celebration and had a very enjoyable stay. The room was clean, comfortable and well presented. During the exceptionally warm weather, we really appreciated that a fan had been provided, which made a big difference and ensured we had a comfortable night's sleep. One small surprise was that our room contained both a double bed and a single bed, despite the booking being for just the two of us. It wasn't a problem, just a little unexpected and it did make the room feel slightly more crowded than it needed to be. The only disappointment was discovering on arrival that the kitchen was not open in the evening. We hadn't been informed of this before our stay, and had we known, we could have planned accordingly. Fortunately, there are plenty of excellent places to eat nearby, so it didn't spoil our visit, but it would have been helpful to have been told in advance. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice of fresh continental items as well as a very well-cooked Full English. Everything was fresh, well presented and set us up nicely for the day. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the local area and made an ideal base for our visit to Twycross Zoo and our anniversary celebration. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfast and welcoming atmosphere made for a very enjoyable break, and we would happily stay here again."
