  • The beautiful tiger at the Luray Rescue Zoo. This zoo holds animals that are unable to be cared for any more or should never have become House pets to begin with. The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. An amazing zoo with an amazing story #lurayzoo #rescuezoo

The host was very proactive and responsive. The house is loaded with amenities. It was very clean and the kitchen is has anything you need if you’re preparing a meal.
