About this property

Cabin #8 - The Shadows

  • One late afternoon, just as we were closing for the day, a small, skinny black cat appeared — wandering quietly and keeping to the shadows. It wasn't the first time we had seen this timid little visitor, and it was clear he needed more than just a passing glance.
    Buck decided it was time this lonely creature had a real home. He was gently rescued, cared for, bathed, fed, and finally given a name: Shadow. Though he was with us only a short while, his gentle spirit and quiet presence left an imprint on our hearts that will never fade.
    In his honor, we dedicated CABIN #8 — THE SHADOWS so that his memory would always remain part of Lydia Mountain. This cabin reflects the peaceful, comforting refuge he found here — a place of warmth, safety, and belonging.
    Though Shadow is no longer with us, his story lives on in this special retreat. May all who stay here experience the same sense of calm, comfort, and quiet companionship that he brought into our lives.
    Welcome to THE SHADOWS — Cabin #8, a heartfelt tribute to a small soul who made a very big difference.
