About this property

Green Castle cabin on the Shenandoah River





  • Nestled into a hill on the banks of the Shenandoah River, this cabin was purpose-built for river-side vacations. You can relax and chat with friends on the screened-in porch or roast marshmallows around the nearby fire pit while listening to the river in the background. Stacked, dried firewood is available for you to use for a small fee. Inside, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen that flows into the dining area and living room complete with satellite and cable TV and a gas fireplace. From the cozy living area, you have a wonderful view of the yard and river through the beautiful window wall. Rest up from a day of enjoying the great outdoors in one of the three comfortable bedrooms or in a chair on the large deck overlooking the river. The cabin also features wood flooring and trim, a cathedral ceiling in the living area, and tile floors in the modern, fully-furnished bathrooms. Outside, there's a gas grill for grilling hamburgers, a huge open yard, and - did we mention? - the riverbank so you can wade right out or take the canoes out with ease.

    PLEASE NOTE: The optional firewood charge of $15/night is for firewood for the outdoor fire pit. (The indoor fireplace at this property is gas.) If you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own, please let us know! We are more than happy to refund that to you.



    Also, please note: No parties, events, or gatherings of guests that are not included in the reservation are allowed at Green Castle.



    The base rate includes 4 people. Additional guests are extra, please read the itemized charges carefully and make sure to make your reservation for the correct number of guests that will be staying. Thank you!



    Pet Fee: $100 per dog ( max 2 dogs) - No Cats, sorry!



    Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.



    There is a separate security deposit required for this property. Please feel free to ask us if you have any questions about it- we are happy to answer them!
