"We wanted to end our 9 day Rhine River cruise with a stay at an elegant hotel on Lake Lucerne. We booked 2 rooms for $485 each for one night at Grand National. When we checked in we were shown two rooms in the old part of the hotel street side with no AC. They were pretty but stuffy. I booked this hotel bc the website stated that this hotel has AC. We asked for an air conditioned room and were offered an upgrade of $158 each. We are glad we upgraded. Our rooms were facing the lake newly...

"Property and room was beautiful. We had wanted to extend our stay and had to make second booking for a different room. The general manager, Martin, noted this and reached out and managed to arrange for us combine both bookings and stay in the same room for both days. This made it a lot more convenient as we didn't have to deal with two different bookings on each day. Love the attention to detail by the staff."
