"Lovely cabin with fantastic attention to detail - so many nice touches, including the fire pit, the landscaping and short trail to the water. The Lighthouse Cabin made a great launching spot as we hiked the amazing Coastal Trail at Quoddy Head State Park and explored Campobello Island, across the Friendship Bridge into Canada. On Campobello, we enjoyed an excellent short tour of FDR’s family retreat, found fantastic hikes and made a slightly dangerous (slippery) hop over to the Head Harbour Lightstation, which can only be done at low tide. Even saw some whales along the way! If we had more time, we would have loved to hike the Cobscook Shores Parklands available throughout Lubec, some of which are very close to the cabin."

"This was a very beautiful and clean hotel! Room was spacious and had everything we needed. Only complaint is that the hot water is very limited. The view is spectacular and the onsite restaurant was wonderful for breakfast and dinner. Very good food. My husband and I stayed here after hiking in Cutler. Only about a 20 min drive from the trail."

"The pictures dont do it justice even, this place is a wonderful log cabin basically on the coast. Its very nice and clean in there, and our host was also very kind and attentive. I wish we could have stayed longer!"

"The home and property were outstanding! The views from the decks were beautiful! Loved the artwork and artistic touches throughout the home and property! The bed was very comfortable! Charming Newly-Renovated Waterfront Cottage in Lubec

"Best vacation we've ever been on. The house was really cute with very comfortable beds. The renovated kitchen had everything we needed. The sunroom off the back with the view of the river and the dunes was the real star of the show. We spent our mornings drinking coffee and reading and frankly just staring out at the beautiful landscape. The walk to the beach was quick but it is a bit of a walk so as other people noted in their reviews take note of that if you have small children. But once you get there the beach is sandy/rocky and perfect. We searched for sea glass and even took dips in the ocean.Lubec is a lovely little town, definitely recommend the shops and local restaurants. A visit to Campobello island and a whale watch and trip to see the whirlpool are musts. Big thank you to our hosts for providing such a wonderful place to stay! Well definitely be back!"
