"If this hotel was in the Wellington business district, a short twenty minute drive away, it would easily command double the price. Don’t be fooled by the surrounding area. Inside it’s spotless with generous sized rooms (and we booked the smallest), a huge bathroom, and little extras like a service towel for cleaning equipment. Staff are unfailingly helpful. Very quiet despite proximity to busy roads. Laundry room and elevator. "

"Ava lodge is brilliant. Clean, comfy beds, spacious and we were lucky enough to have a balcony. The beds are comfy with lovely linen. And the bathroom especially the shower is huge. "

"Fab room, everything you need is there for a comfy stay. Super quiet room, comfy bed. Didn't head down to the restaurant, but it was busy for dinner each night so must be good! Staff were helpful and friendly. Will stay again when in the area."
