"This cabin was truly the most amazing, comfy, cozy, and magical place to spend our days in Fairbanks. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely immersed in the Alaskan vibe—the decor is beautiful and thoughtful, and the cabin is equipped with absolutely everything you could need.
We stayed during extreme cold, with temperatures reaching -45°F (-40°C), and to our amazement, the cabin still had running hot water the entire time. Being able to come back from our activities and take a hot shower was everything—it made our trip so much more comfortable and enjoyable.
The location is perfect. It’s far enough from downtown Fairbanks to feel surrounded by peaceful nature and trees, yet close enough to everything you need. Running Reindeer Ranch is only 5 minutes away, and it’s just minutes from Aurora Camp and Murphy Dome—honestly, this is exactly where you want to be for aurora watching.
On top of all that, the owners are incredible. They live just a couple of minutes away, so in case of any emergency they’re right there, and they are extremely responsive and helpful.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly, highly recommend!"
"Excellent rooms. Love the microwave and ref. Made it a big difference during our stay as it was snowing out and buying food on a daily basis was hard. The staff are extremely friendly inspite of how short staff they seemed to be but managed the Hotel with a smile on at all times. From the front desk, breakfast people, shuttle airport drivers and maintenance crew were all
fantastic. Only issue I had was on our second to the last night the hotel had experienced a fire alarm set off due to the cold weather causing issues with their heating system at the front entrance but there were other entrance and exits available so this was not a major issue. The closeness to a McDonald’s, Panda Express, Dominos Pizza and a Walmart made this hotel stay an A+++++"
"I need to give the maintenance team five stars. During my stay, I had an issue with the drain pipe. When the repair staff arrived and inspected, he immediately informed that it would be a lengthy and noisy remedy. He approached me and asked if I would agree with moving to another room. He immediately went downstairs and grabbed me the room key so I could begin moving my belongings. I admire how he works and thinks beyond the client. Thanks!! "
"The cabin had a great view for seeing the Northern Lights.
It did not have a kitchen as stated in the listing. It provided a microwave oven and mini fridge. We booked for a week and expected to cook all our own meals. There was a hot pot but no mugs, cups, plates, silverware or microwave safe bowls. We had to make a trip back to Fred Meyers to acquire needed items. There was a BBQ but no items to cook with or clean the grill with.
I have mentioned these things to the host and she is looking into it. "
