Cute Cozy Cabin
Explore the Golden Heart City from this adorable little cabin! Nestled in the hills of Goldstream you'll feel like you're deep in the wilderness but you'll be within 10 minutes from town. You'll feel like a real Alaskan here! No visible neighbors is such a peaceful feeling.
Step outside onto the porch and sip your coffee while listening to the dog sled teams howling. If you're lucky you might catch some Northern Lights or a moose wandering through.
When you arrive at the property you'll feel at peace and safe. We have a keypad to get in that is updated with a new code for each guest and there's a Ring doorbell for your safety and the safety of the property. That is the only camera on the property. Within walking distance you have the famous Ivory Jacks or Rebel Roots, depending on what you're into. Head into town one way or take the scenic route and see the pipeline after you've done some gold panning on your way out to Chena Hotsprings. There's Caribou tours and dog mushing tours within minutes of this cabin.
Just because you're in a cabin doesn't mean you have to live uncomfortably. We have running water and WiFi along with a Smart TV in the living room. There's a fully stocked kitchen for cooking your favorite meals, along with a full bathroom (stall shower) huge fluffy towels and linens designed to make you feel like you're living in luxury in the woods. Unfortunately there's no washer or dryer however there is a laundry facility right across the road.
Want to unplug? There's board games and cards for you to have some fun. Or step outside for a nice fire to roast marshmallows at. If you want to experience Alaska in a more rustic way go ahead and try out the outhouse located right behind the cabin ;)
Everything should be in good operational condition - if anything isn’t working as it should please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We have a water company deliver regularly to be able to have running water. The tank is located behind the cabin out of the back window/bathroom window area. Be conscience of water usage as we run on a 400 gallon tank.
We’re in the process of replacing the screen on the screen door. The mosquitos are joked to be Alaska’s State Bird and they are plenty here! There’s mosquito coils and bug spray you can use if you need in the Lazy Susan corner of the kitchen.
Help yourself to anything in the cabin.

The cabin was easy to find from Fairbanks Airport, clean and with sufficient space/amenities for our 2 night stay. The owner responded quickly to our communications and the lock system worked perfectly. The surrounding area is beautiful, close to the Running Reindeer Ranch & Chena Hot Springs/Recreation Area (highly recommend) as well as Ivory Jacks less than 1 mile away. The cabin was supplied with coffee AND sugar, so no need to purchase the 7 small bag of sugar at general store. Our only suggestions would be that the sliding pocket door in the bathroom could use a handle for easier & more complete closing, and the porch would feel safer with a railing. All in all, the Cozy Cabin lived up to our expectations and was a great start to our trip!!
Great location with Ivory Jacks just down the road, surrounded by woods, and off the beaten path so no traffic noise. Adorable cabin with a nice bathroom and kitchen. The bed upstairs in the loft was very comfortable. The perfect stay for us!
The cabin itself would be great with a bit better upkeep and attention to detail. Windows were missing screens which meant you could not open the windows without being overrun with bugs. The place had obviously had some rowdy visitors before and things needed to be better presented. The bed was very uncomfortable and neither of us were able to sleep well in it. I ended up on the futon. The hosts really seem to care though. They provided great recommendations (The Turtle Club was excellent!) and the necessities for what a traveler needs. With a little bit of polish, this can be a gem in the Fairbanks area for VRBO and its owners.
The cabin was super cute and had some very lovely touches. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Had thoughtful touches having a mini hair dryer, curling iron, makeup remover, etc. the cabin felt very private and I will be returning!
