The Priory is to be given Priority every time.
Excellent stay with a massive welcome. Thomas was brilliant from start to finish and with Paul on hand to give everyone a welcome and support those working there this is the place to go and stay. Food was good in the evening and with nearly a double breakfast you were never disappointed on the quality of the food. It was so good to meet Aidan as he starts his great vocation at the Priory. I cannot recommend it high enough for anyone to try this magical hidden gem in Louth

Warm hearted comfort.
Old fashioned, comfortable building. An establishment with a philosophy of doing the right thing in it's community. It's unique, Go and try it for yourself.

Perfect!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was superb and the staff are so lovely and friendly we were very well looked after and will definitely be coming back.

Painful mattress
The Priory Hotel was fine overall, clean and lovely staff but they need to update their mattresses, at least in room 9, it was way too soft with no support and we both woke up with a good amount of back pain.

Cute little hotel. Not sure if it’s a social enterprise but some of the staff seem to have special needs. Such lovely service by sone very pleasant young men. Great breakfast. Would definitely revisit

Ver welcoming and clean was late getting to the hotel but chef did me a sandwich breakfast was great and the bar and restaurant rooms were very period

Excellent hotel with equally excellent staff!
Paul and his team were excellent! From the moment we arrived we were made welcome. One of his team offered to carry our baggage from the car before showing us to our room. After settling into our room we went into the hotel bar where we we met by Lowan, the chef. Like the rest of his colleagues, he made Helen and I feel very much at home, and he went out of his way to ensure that we needed for nothing. The quality of food and locally sourced drinks were exceptional. The atmosphere in the hotel was the most relaxed I have ever experienced. The only downside to our stay was that we had to leave! I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend the hotel top anyone. Thank you again to Paul, Lowan, Ben, Thomas and Daniel, and of course, any members of staff I didn't get the pleasure of meeting. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity of staying with you all again very soon.

Track day at Cadwell park
Stayed for 2 nights for a track day at Cadwell park. The staff are lovely the beds are comfortable and the room nice. They saved a parking space for my trailer and the breakfast was really good. I’ll definitely go back at some point

Great little hotel run to support local charities, we always try to stay here when in Lincs very friendly staff who try to please.

A wonderful experience
It’s lovely to stay at a place with such warm welcoming and friendly staff. The hotel is full of character and history. The breakfast was delicious, would definitely stay there again.

Primary one night stay
We were pleasantly surprised, it’s an old building but that makes it special we had two single beds in the Magnolia room, two one of the mattresses was absolutely worn out. I mentioned this and they were promised to do something about it. Otherwise, the whole state was fantastic. Staff were absolutely brilliant. Learning disabilities, but extremely friendly and lovable. chef was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast portions could have been slightly better.

This is a hotel with a difference, run to help charities and offers great opportunities to the staff that are employed. It is a querky place with history and the staff are attentive and helpful. As long as 5* accommodation is not expected then itvis a fine place to stay.

How good to see someone providing employment for people with a learning disability etc. we loved the ethos and enjoyed engaging with the staff who are obviously thriving in the environment provided. Long May it continue.

As previous reviews stated the place has so much character but it does need a lot of maintenance to it, if it hadn’t been for the staff who are so grateful to have a job that they are so attentive I would have been rating it a lot lower.

Fantastic hotel
Brilliant hotel. Within walking distance of the town centre. Serendipity is a fantastic initiative. Only little things I could say are that some photos of the hotel on the listing here, were a bit out of date, so room decor was a slightly different. Room also a little smaller than it appeared in photos. Walls quite thin, and the lovely couple in the room next door had the telly blaring at 6am every morning! Both incredibly minor issues though. The staff are absolutely fantastic, and it's a lovely hotel. Would definitely stay again.
