"The service was five star. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Even the cleaners in the hallways greet you with a smile and when you check in, they give you extra gifts and small items for convenience for free. They also give you a welcome tea as well there are so many sites you can visit walking distance. Also, the metro is nearby with lots of restaurants all walking distance."

Room controls such as lights, heating and curtains are through an app. Can be intimidating if you are not a heavy app user but it does give ypu updates on what's happing in the hotel loke free pizza night and other events. I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem. We took to walking around the Hutong neighborhoods right away, my father loved his morning walks in Houhai Park which was right behind the hotel.
