Mountain View Motor Inn LLC
10/10 Excellent
"I was given a king room and it was very spacious. Bed comfortably soft. Check-in was not too bad. Staff was friendly and provided warning of bears in town. I’d definitely stay again."
Almost Heaven: Aspen Season in the Colorado Mountains
10/10 Excellent
"The best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Highly recommend this place. Amazing place and Hosts!"
Mt Blanca vista, views of multiple 14ers and Sand Dunes National Park.
10/10 Excellent
"The house is very cute and well appointed. We enjoyed the quiet and dark location, it is for star gazing. We were there during the lunar eclipse. The location is beautiful with a full view of Mt Blanca . It was very windy a few days while we were there so very dusty . This made sitting outside not happen as much a we would have liked. The house is within a 25 minute drive to the GSDNP, and Zapata Falls , both of which we explored. We would stay again, highly recommend ."
Main Street Cabin near Sand Dunes - Fort Garland
8/10 Good
"Had a very good stay in Fort Garland. Very spacious and comfortable. The house met expectations based on descriptions but could use a few minor updates, for instance, the downstairs bathroom had a handheld shower head but no way to hang it to wash your hair with two hands and the spout wasnt fully attached. Nice spot for a larger group close the the NP."
Spacious cabin in gated community.
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay. It is very remote and quiet. Love seeing the elk, mule deer, hummingbirds etc."
Aspen Leaf Retreat
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice cozy condo. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay was there. Being right next to a trail was also a plus."
Cozy La Veta Condo: Walk to Cuchara Mountain Park!
10/10 Excellent
"The place looks exactly as pictured. In fact, even cozier and cleaner. My hubby is a fanatical neat freak. He mentioned that his socks didn't get dirty from the floors. [me rolling my eyes because I did not care. However, he was correct.] Cuchara is general is super cutesy, cool and clean. The locals are wonderful and there are a few things to do. If you are looking for party central--this is not the vibe. It is quaint, picturesque, calming and just a great place to chile and relax. I am part hermit so I loved it! We came in from SUPER HOT DFW in July and ran to the AC. I quickly learned that isn't a "thing", AC, neither in Cuchara nor in surrounding areas. Hey, we didn't need it at all. We did turn on the fan for air circulation only. I am not sure we needed that. Just used to what we do in the metroplex. We stayed a week, and I didn't want to leave. I lead a fairly stressful life given my position; I also write. I got more work done on writing projects in that week than I did over two semesters. We will definitely be back next summer for a longer period of time. In fact, we are already trying to get back before summer! I learned to let go of stressful things and have really pumped the brakes! Oh yeah, we did see a black bear about three miles up the road on our way to Venita one late morning. He posed for a photo op. We stayed in the car, but I took a picture or two. The host was perfection. The place was perfection. Not a one issue AT ALL. Perfecto!"
