Oceanfront Cottage On Sandy Carbon Beach – Pelican

  • This beautiful 1 bedroom that sleeps 4 is oceanfront with unobstructed panoramic ocean views. It has a large long deck and steps to a dry sandy beach just outside the vacation rental. There are pegged hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and accented with stainless steel appliances with plenty of counter space and a bar sink.

    The rental has 1 bedroom with a king size bed. In addition there is a large sleeper sofa in the living room.

    There is a washer & dryer on site for your convenience. Included with the rental is a one car garage and parking for an extra car. In addition, the property is gated for extra privacy.

    The rental is beachfront on Carbon Beach which has been nicknamed “Billionaire’s Beach” and has unobstructed panoramic ocean views of Queens Necklace and Catalina Island. It is just yards from the famous Surfrider Beach, Malibu Pier, the Adamson House and world class restaurants.

    You can plan for a wonderful, carefree, relaxing vacation at one of the best locations in Malibu. In addition to the amazing ocean views and the beach just steps away, nearby you’ll enjoy strolling through two shopping centers that are home to world-class shops and restaurants. When you are not on the beach, you can also enjoy the flat screen HD TVs, blue-ray, stereo with iPod connection, CD player and wi-fi. We provide all linens, towels, beach chairs, and gas barbeque, so you don't need to pack those essentials.

    Perfect location next to Malibu Pier. We were right on the water and listened to the waves crash below our deck.One bedroom with comfortable king sized bed. Living room, kitchen, and bathroom very clean and exactly as depicted in pictures.Angel, the manager was waiting in the parking area when we arrived and he walked us through the unit.Communicating thru VRBO answered all my questions immediately.I would stay here again.

    Amazing Malibu getaway

    Highly recommend this property. Amazing view. Very clean. Comfortable bed. My only criticism (very minor) is if you want to eat outside with a bigger table, seems like you need to book the two bedroom property . They still have patio chairs on the deck so you can enjoy the view while having to have tea and coffee. This is my third time and it never disappoints!

    Great Getaway

    This property did not disappoint! I was impressed with the cleanliness of all the rooms and appliances, and loved the new waterproof luxury vinyl flooring. The sound of the waves and seagulls was perfect for reading on the deck in late afternoon. Many thanks to Angel and the housekeeping staff for making me feel welcome and helping me to get settled in this little piece of paradise. I hope a return trip is in my future.

    Ocean Peace

    Cottage-feel in the rental was perfect for me. I was looking for peaceful place to stay while my husband was in the hospital after major surgery. The cupboards and kitchen are old but serviceable--I'm sure that if the apartment was "updated" it would have to be much more expensive to rent. Angel, one of the property-keepers, was warm and welcoming. I hope I'm able to come again to enjoy a stay on the beach.

    Nice place but older

    Location location location. That is 100% It was clean but looks like the bones of it hasn’t been remodeled in 20+ years, ie cracks in ceiling, old school look definitely. Bed was comfortable though! The property manager here was amazing. His name is Angel and he was always around and so sweet and helpful.

    Great beach front property!! Thoroughly enjoyed the patio and relaxing to the sound of the ocean!! House was extremely clean and smelled fresh upon our arrival! Plenty of fresh, clean towels and kitchen supplies!! Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows! Angel met us at the property, showed us around and was extremely welcoming, friendly & helpful our entire stay!! Walking distance to Malibu pier and many restaurants! Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we’re ever in the Malibu area! :)

    Charming Beachfront Cottage

    What a great place to stay in Malibu! Location is perfect and the accommodations were perfect for our needs; parking, a fully equipped kitchen, a deck directly above the waves, an endless view of the Pacific and a very comfortable bed. The instructions to get into the property were perfectly outlined in the “here are your keys” and helpful Angel was on property if you need any assistance. The Malibu Pier is a short walk away, as is NOBU for a nice dinner. We chose to go to Costco and Whole Foods for wine, snacks and our dinners to bring back to the cottage. We will definately return to stay at this charming beachfront home.

    A Piece of Heaven

    I did not want to leave! The waves crashing right under the balcony, watching the sunrise and sunset plus nature was perfect. The home was comfortable. I thought the floors could have been cleaned better when I arrived but then realized the doors have gaps so some of the debris comes in. The lcoation was perfect to walk around town, to the pier, eateries, and of course the beach. Even when the tide is up you just go a short ways to the other side of the pier and have access to the beach.

    What a treat

    Often times pictures oversell what you’re getting with a condo, that is not the case for this condo. From the moment you walk in, the ocean view and sound of the waves crashing beneath the deck was just incredible. The unit is so assessable to great places in and around Malibu. The bed was super comfortable. You may not have a view of the water in the bedroom but you 100% can hear and sometimes feel the waves crashing on the beach. There are a lot of awesome restaurants but don’t snooze on the Pizza place across the street, D’amores, it was ridiculously good. Brunch at Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga was excellent and it’s a beautiful drive 20 minutes from the condo. This place is great. Angel was a great host/property manager.

    Beautiful property on the water. Unexpected charges.

    Nice location walking distance to Malibu pier. Stairs that lead directly to a rocky beach, with sandy beach a quick walk away from there. Aviator Nation Dreamland is a fantastic restaurant walking distance, great happy hour specials. Duke's a short drive away was great as well. Garage and parking lot are tight, took a few times to get used to mavigating in and out of the spot. After our stay we were charged $50 for replacing 8 white towels and bathroom rug that had stains. We didn't do anything crazy, just normal walking and beach activities. Towels left on the ground picked up residual dirt, and rugs are meant to be stepped on. Feel like some bleach could have taken care of things. Overall great property and location, just be careful with towels and rug to avoid extra charges.

    Amazing ocean front but inside needs help!

    We booked this property because of its proximity to Pepperdine. We flew to CA and rented a large car since we were moving our child into the dorms. The property was not able to accommodate a large SUV in the parking area. The onsite PM, Angel, who is super nice and helpful allowed us to park at the adjacent lot on the last night of our stay; otherwise we had to find parking along PCH. The ocean deck is a wonderful amenity but otherwise the property needs some attention. We had a soft spot in the subfloor (water damage) in front of the sink, ants in the bathroom and bedroom, plugs that arced and fried 2 charging cords. There is no overhead fan in the bedroom and no way to block the light from the sidewalk outside. There are two working portable fans and an overhead fan in the dining area. Bring eye mask if you need a dark room. It was difficult to get the bedroom very cool to sleep since we did not feel it safe to leave the back door open all night. The check in and check out were super easy and simple, but if you are concerned with safety, the locks are physically keyed (no electronic lock) and apparently not re-keyed between guests.
