Comfortable Room w/Great Hospitality

Room in friendly couple's house. The bed was comfortable and the hospitality great. The exterior had construction in progress (new ADU being built), but not on the days I was there. Room had it's own bathroom and the neighborhood was nice and convenient to parks and stores. Ave. cleanliness--not great (bathroom), but not bad. Reasonable, modest accommodations. Easy parking.

Check in process was a bit strange. Operating the door was pretty difficult with 3 knobs and odd door locking pad. Charged 20 dollars for 3 hard boiled eggs, banana, and a few slices of bread for breakfast all while the house seemed to be under construction.

Quite room in a house. Room had been converted to have a shower/toilet in the closet space. Great view! Friendly bulldog. Neighborhood street parking. Room was too crowed with 2 dressers, a lawn chair that was awkward and a table. Floor was dusty/dirty - which I would have expected to be cleaner, since the owner required us to remove our shoes. If you don't mind renting a room in the owners home, it was great. English is not owner's first language. Had to ask for tissue box and floor mat.

Long corridors!

This is a lovely old-school house right in the hills of Azusa. The garden space was well manicured and in constant bloom. The air was so clean and fresh. The home itself had amazing archives from the original inhabitants. Being able to see that gave an appreciation of what it's like to live in the foothills community- Djallon

She was very rude. To many rules and like I can’t even wear shoes 👟 inside like who does that. I feel you’re renting your place you shouldn’t treat people like children. She was rude and yell at me. I did not like that. So many rules and I was paying a lot money.

It was a very nice stay . This is a house in upper azusa. Conveniently close to the bottom of the mountain for hiking and roaming. Rooms were very clean. It is a shared restroom.But seemed like i had it to myself during the stay. It was clean with soaps and fresh towels on hand. Or the other guest was on a different schedule as me. So that was fine. Comfortable bed/bedding. A nice back yard with a bench to lounge on. The hosts are very polite and kept to themselves as did I . But when needed to ask about anything they were also very welcoming . Reception was in and out i used my wifi. If you dont have any they do have the code posted for you. Over all a very nice stay..

Retreat Room for Studentspl

My stay in this room was a solitary experience that ended in reading and internet browsing. I was not aware that my friend would have to adapt his personality so much to fit into an Asian home. Although considered a “white” professional he would be practically a buffoon in this Asian retreat-like environment. The room is priced at ~200–with taxes, and ~300 with a deposit. I don’t recommend the hotel room since there is no private bathroom (the room is erroneously advertised as “private”), and there are such strict rules on noise which a couple could not abide outside of senility. I could not possibly imagine a couple encounter in that environment. The room is more suitable for a rich and studious Asian high school student at a $300/day rate.

Wonderful stay at Beautiful House Fantastic View

The host couple are friendly, warm people who made me feel welcome in their truly BEAUTIFUL HOUSE! My room was large, the bed very comfortable. I stayed for three nights, while I worked at Santa Anita Racetrack in nearby Arcadia, during Friday and Saturday. Santa Anita Racetrack is 10 miles from this home in Azusa; the Burbank Airport from which I arrived and departed is 33 miles from Azusa.
