House was very cozy and perfect for the weekend! Everything was clean and comfortable. Very walkable location into downtown Longmont. Would definitely stay there again!
This home is the cutest! The woodwork was beautiful. It’s an older home but has been upgraded and it’s lovely! It’s also the perfect location to the park and we were close to family in Longmont with some nice restaurants. We grilled out a couple of nights at the house and the kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay here again!
Just a couple blocks from shopping and Restaurants in Downtown Longmont and an easy drive to Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park and Celestrial Seasoning. I would stay again.
The property was great, very clean, nice neighborhood, and a great backyard for the dogs. Exactly what we were looking for. Thanks for letting us stay!
Visiting family in the area The location of the home was perfect. When we arrived the home was clean and nicely furnished. Being walking distance to downtown made life easy. Very rarely did we need to use our car. Loved the neighborhood. It was quiet. Clean and the neighbors seemed friendly and always waved Would definitely stay again.
We joined our 2 children and their spouses in Longmont to attend a family baby shower. The house was comfortable and accommodated our party of 6 very well.
Location near Downtown Longmont is walking distance to coffee shops and casual dining. Love Longmont and the house made together time so enjoyable.
Booked this location from Denver. Drove up for the weekend to enjoy Stout Month at Longs Peak Taphouse & Brewery. Also checked in at Wibby Brewing. The hot tub was nice to soak in after a long run on the St. Vrain Greenway Trail. House was spacious and bright. Would definitely book again.
House was great. Only cleanliness issues were with several of the pot/pans which appeared to be cleaned via the dishwasher which left them greasy and unclean (and the dishwasher had greasy residue too). The outdoor grill needed cleaning (lots of debris in the bottom). Location was very convenient to downtown but was 1/2 block from railroad tracks. Trains came by at night/early morning and were loud.
We had a great stay visiting friends in Longmont following several nights up in Estes Park. The neighborhood is very walkable to the downtown area, and easy highway access if wanting to visit RMNP, Boulder, Denver area, etc. As some previous reviews have noted, the property is located about half a block from an active train track, but no one in our party had any issues sleeping through the sounds. All 3 bedrooms were equipped with white noise machines, if you're a lighter sleeper. The hot tub was a great perk after several days of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I with our two young children spent a week at the house. It was perfect for little children as they supplied a pack-n-play and highchair along with books, puzzles, and kids plates. The home was beautiful and the outdoor space was so nice to take advantage of in November. Close proximity to breweries, restaurants, and parks. It is also very close to the train which was exciting at times and slightly annoying at night when the train would blast its horn but any property that close to town would experience the same annoyance. Definitely would stay again!
We were in town for my daughter's wedding at Callahan house. The property was perfectly situated to take advantage of everything in downtown Longmont - we walked around whenever we had the chance. The house is a beautiful old house, all the woodwork detail from the time it was built. Great yard for the dog, great neighborhood for dog walks. Be aware you are near the railroad track, and freight trains run overnight. If you are light sleeper like me, the warning horn will wake you up.

Reviewer Comments:
When the ad says pet friendly, they mean it. There is animal hair all over the house and we were all covered in hair after sitting on the couch for any period of time. That is a personal pet peeve of mine and so it’s a bit hard to recover from that. The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The beds were not the most comfortable. Overall the house seemed tidy but not terribly clean. The area was nice, very walkable.
The house was nice, great kitchen, although better couches are needed. very clean. loved the porch. The outside gardens were neglected; needed a lot of maintenance. Doggy doo doo bags in the back yard. yuk! garage was handy. LOTS of trains go through the neighborhood. Kind of loud but somehow entertaining. Would stay there again. Thanks!
My husband and I and our two dogs had a very enjoyable stay in Longmont. The house was great and just like the pictures. The windows do not open - it is a historic home and has the original windows, but the air conditioning and heat worked great and we were always comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and supplied with paper products and dishwashing supplies. The location was fabulous - just a few short blocks from Main Street with great restaurants, breweries, and shopping. The neighborhood was lovely for walks and runs. It was great having a fenced in yard for the dogs. The trains did not bother us - reminded me of when I stayed at my grandmother's house years ago. Only once did we hear it in the middle of the night. Highly recommend this property and Vacation Rental Collective - they were great to work with when we had to make a last minute change to our dates because of a pet's illness. Check in was easy and Scott answered any questions we had quickly.

Reviewer Comments:
Overall we were disappointed. The AC was temperamental. It was 80 degrees in the house when we arrived. The washer and dryer are in a basement. The steps leading down to the basement are very steep. I would not let my wife go down there. The toiletries were tiny little bottles of shampoo and conditioner and tiny bars of soap. Kitchen was not well stocked. Other than that it was ok. The train did not bother us.

My stay at 113 4th Ave. in Longmont, CO was absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked up to the property, I was charmed by the spacious front porch – perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening. The air conditioning kept the house perfectly cool during my stay, and the hot tub was pristine (not always the case for rentals) and ready for use, making it a perfect spot to relax after a day out.The grounds were very well maintained with lovely landscaping that made the entire property feel inviting. One of the best parts is that it's just a short walk to downtown, where there are plenty of coffee shops, bars, parks and restaurants to enjoy – super convenient!Inside, the kitchen was a dream! It was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, from dishes to appliances like a mixer, juicer, and French press – they even provided coffee, which was a thoughtful touch. The house itself was incredibly clean and homey, with tall ceilings and beautiful original woodwork that gave it so much old town character. Whoever decorated this home, did a wonderful job!Despite being near a train track, the noise wasn't bad at all, and the provided white noise machines ensure a peaceful night's sleep. This house has so much charm and comfort, I truly felt at home here. I honestly didn’t want to leave – I could live in this house forever! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at this property and loved the Longmont walkability. Lots of options! Below are a few pros and watch outs when booking this property.
Pro’s
- Great convenient location with tons of walkable restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Host had great write up’s and recommendations in the area.
- House Supplies- The house was stocked with everything we needed, including local coffee.
- Hot Tub- It was nice having a hot tub on the property. The tub was not clean for the first few days of our stay but was much better after the Wednesday weekly service.
Watch Outs
- Train Noise- The listing does mention active “historic” train tracks are nearby the property, however, we did not know these were freight trains, were a half a block away from the house and on average there were 5-10 trains coming through daily at all random hours (including 245am).
- Bugs- There was an infestation of box elder beetles with hundreds of them on the outside of the house and doors during our stay; many found their way inside the home as well. The property manager sent an exterminator and took care of the problem within two days. I get it’s that time of the year with bugs, but the property needs to stay on top of pest control.
- Windows- The house windows do not open at all and are painted shut. This was inconvenient when we wanted to open the kitchen window (cracked) when cooking or the bedroom windows at night to cool down the house.
