"We planned a trip to Cottage Grove to do some cycling with friends. We did a total of 3 rides, one starting in Cottage Grove on a route to see the covered bridges. It was awesome.The home is situated across a road from Cottage Grove Lake. The front porch with gas fireplace was located facing the lake, which made for a beautiful and peaceful view of the lake, especially in the morning as the fog receded from the lake.The sauna was nice. Just a short walk around the side of the house onto a deck with a nice view away from the house. There is a hot tub next to the sauna, which would have been nice to access, but it was empty at the time, and also not listed as an amenity for the rental.The house interior is nice. The flooring is beautiful and the living space is spacious. The bedrooms are comfortable as well. The bedrooms were a good size and the master was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and kitchen island made it super nice for cooking with our group of 6. We enjoyed spending time playing games, a few of which were at the house.As stated in the information, there are ladybugs inside the house. Quite the novelty to see them in a few places in the living area. I did not notice them upstairs in the bedrooms, just the downstairs area near the front of the house.The two things for improvement. 1) Heating didn't seem to work as we expected. 2) There were no windows covering in any of the rooms."
