  • This elegant 3-bedroom home is nestled in a residential area, a brief 15-minute stroll from the lively Brixton Village and a mere 2 minutes from the nearest train station (Loughborough Junction). The house boasts a super king-size Vi-spring bed in the Chinese bedroom, a double bed in the Green Room, and two singles in the Twin Bedroom with ultra-comfortable mattresses, all cooled by ceiling fans. The sitting room has substantial armchairs and sofa, an iMac for your use, adjacent to the dining room / kitchen, which is a culinary dream with a large Rangemaster induction cooker and fridge freezer, the worktops of swirling granite. Open the 3 meter wide folding doors to Enjoy meals inside or out, ignite the Komando BBQ, and relax with a cinema projector and Apple TV. Optional driveway parking is available (subject to availability and additional charge £15 per day - please book before arrival.)

    Air Conditioning:

    All three bedrooms have ceiling fans installed, which work very well to keep the rooms cool. Additionally, we have a powerful Dyson air fan for extra cooling in the living/dining area.

Fantastic stay!

Holiday stay May 3 - May 8

Great home with modern amenities it had everything our family of 5 needed. The house was within easy access to the underground, bus stop, and train station. We were able to get wherever we needed to go relatively quick. Our host Galia was awesome and responsive to our questions.

Great house in South London

We enjoyed our stay at this South London townhouse. The house is lovely and the owners thought of everything and has all the supplies you need. It is close to public transportation and very easy access to all the main attractions in London! I would recommend this home!

Great stay in London

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It is immaculately decorated. The back garden was lovely as well. We thought there was a hot tub, but it is really at outdoor fish pond. The house had everything we needed. Easy check in and Check out, short walk to Loughborough Station on Thameslink Trains.

Location, location, location

This is the perfect property to make as your home base to explore London. The train is a short walk away and links you to the underground or other trains. The neighborhood was quiet. A small grocery store was close. The property was clean and the owners responsive. We enjoyed our visit!

Amazing!

This house is old world charm meets modern luxury. Every comfort, including heated floors, heated towel racks and even a wine fridge. Beautifully decorated and a short two block walk tot he train. Simply perfect! The owners greeted us with fresh flowers, and Easter chocolates and hot cross buns for the kids.

A Beautiful Home and a Perfect Location for Our Stay

This home was perfect for our London visit. It was nicely appointed and included all of the comforts that we expected. The home is in a quiet residential area that is convenient to public transportation. We felt safe walking and exploring in the area during the day and into the evening. For sightseeing, get an Oyster Card for the areas you want to see and hop on a bus, train, or tube. You will find the host to be kind, helpful, and responsive. This property exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it as a place for your stay in London.

A beautiful home with many upgrades- neighborhood has a negative reputation though

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly; the host, Galya, was responsive and considerate! The home has many modern appliances and amenities, with a local grocery and convenience shop around the corner. Unfortunately, there was no hot tub, as listed, and the neighborhood has a negative reputation. However, we would stay there again because the customer service was excellent and the home amenities were top- notch.

Powers crew takes on London

This property is absolutely fabulous. It was perfect for our family of eight brother, sisters and nieces. Way more amazing than could ever imagine. The Decour was amazing. Very high end antiques. Fabulous art! Everything we needed in the kitchen and plus more. Our host was quick to answer questions and help us with any difficulties we had.

Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed

For my wife's birthday, we booked here and invited family from around England. We couldn't have been happier. Lots of space (and outdoor too), comfortable bedrooms, very well appointed kitchen. Easy trip up to London Blackfriars on the Loughborough overland train a couple blocks away. Or a 1 click walk to Briton train and tube. The market at Brixton is great with plenty of butchers and fresh vegetables and fruit. There is a great grocery store on the way to the Loughborough train station. Everyone was very impressed.

Perfect London Getaway

This was the perfect London Getaway for my family (wife, 5x kids, and mother). There was plenty of room in the house and it was fully stocked (towels, paper towel, toilet paper, bedding, applicances, washer, dryer, etc.). If you are looking for a "Mary Poppins" experience in London this is it! The house is very close to the bus stop and train station. We were able to get to all the normal attractions in London very easily on the bus system with 5 kids. The owner was very responsive to our questions and offered great suggestions on transportation options. I can't recommend this enough for your London Stay!

Fabulous home

We really enjoyed our stay in South London. The house was great and had everything we could possibly need. It was cosy and very comfortable. It would have been nice if there was a shower curtain in the upstairs, shared bathroom but that didn't present any difficult issues for us.The local area was just alright for us. I would have preferred to have been a little closer to the underground by walking. Bearing in mind that it was winter when we stayed so with nicer weather, the walk would have been much more pleasant. We did use busses and Uber which were great options to have. Overall, we had a fabulous stay here and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a London stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The Best!

We stayed four nights and couldn't have been happier. Luxor House is spacious, exquisitely furnished, and equipped with conveniences and appliances we loved. There were five of us, two couples and a single, and we all had private space on different (physical) levels. Having two full bathrooms and an additional half bathroom helped greatly. The house is filled with natural light, and the outdoor space is better than the photos. Our host was terrific, providing information about transportation and the area before we arrived and proactively making sure, a few days ahead of time, that we had the details needed for check-in. When we did arrive, there were cold drinks in the fridge and other goodies. Loughborough Junction is just minutes away, and we were able to take the train from Gatwick airport to Luxor House, and from Luxor House to and from Cambridge. Simply the best!

Lovely home in South London

We stayed at Herne House for a week over the Christmas holidays. Our host went to the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree and decorating for us. It definitely felt like Christmas even thought we were far from home. We were able to get to all the places we wanted to visit with public transit. The Thameslink station was very close by. Buses were even closer, and it was pretty easy to get to the underground. The house is on multiple levels which gives each person a feeling of privacy. There were bathrooms for each of us as well. Stairs could be a problem for those with mobility issues. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were nice. Our host responded to our questions very quickly, and sent us a helpful email with directions to many landmarks. We might have preferred a location that was closer to central London, but it was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood. There was a lovely store a block away with all the groceries we needed. Nice to be away from traffic and tourists.

This is a comfortable, spacious, and beautifully appointed home with comfortable beds, a lovely garden and very responsive and flexible hosts. Everything was very clean. We appreciated arriving to some bottles of water and coffee, as well as helpful suggestions for how to get to attractions. Transport to the city was quick when heading along the ThamesLink line (ca 20-30 minutes). There are also buses, which take a bit long (45-60 minutes), but allow for accessing more destinations directly, as well as the underground. We stayed there with kids aged 10-13, which worked great. They especially liked watching TV on the huge projector screen. (I might be nervous about very young children damaging the nice furniture and decorations.) I do recommend carefully checking the door code before check-in, as I was confused by the difference between the code sent directly by the host and that in the PDF summary, though the hosts responded quickly when my confusion arose. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, but there was more environmental noise than I expected from the nearby train tracks and flight path overhead. Apart from these two minor issues, it was an excellent home with dependable hosts, thus a rental that I would confidently recommend to other travelers.

Absolutely a 5-star stay. Galina was very accommodating in our travel needs. Her home was well appointed with everything we could possibly need, as well as the most comfortable beds and linens. The back patio with space to eat and enjoy the koi pond was an extra bonus that we enjoyed so much! We could not recommend this charming home in a quiet neighborhood more highly. We can’t wait to come again!

Our stay in Galia's accommodation went very well: the house is quiet and very pleasant, perfect after a day in central London! The location is very practical, with easy access to the city centre by public transport. Galia is also very friendly and responsive.
