Ideally located 5 min walk from Vauxhall underground and an easy 20 min stroll to Westminster along the ThamesProperty really big and great for a large group/family. Comfortable beds but worth noting the stairs to the mezzanine. Not for you if looking for a modern feel, but clean, tidy and ideal for our family of four (with teens).Amanda always replied to my messages but largely leaves you to it!
My friends and I stayed here while we were in London for a few days. The host was very nice and worked with us through the check in process. The location was great as it was more outside the city so it was quiet. We enjoyed staying here and loved the place!

Very charming apartement, well equipped, clean, close to public transport, restaurants and supermarket, we had a fantastic time
The best place I've ever stayed! This place is full of personality and charm and was the highlight of our trip. Very close to Vauxhall station and a neighborhood park. Safe, quiet area and lovely host.
Our family of six had a great stay at this lovely apartment. Close to all the attractions London has to offer and Vauxhall station for tube and rail connections. An ageing property, it could use a few updates, but for price and location it was great for us. The hosts were very responsive also.
Just a beautiful place and within walking distance to Big Ben and much more. Was a nice location across from a park, near the underground tube, etc. Place was very clean. Amanda was very responsive when we reached out to her. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
This really felt like home! It was conveniently close/far from London's mess and its attractions. It is so beautifully furnished and there's some really interesting art on the walls. Super sunny and very welcoming.
The property was clean and located near transportation and restaurants. We were in town to move our daughter into her dorm at LSE and it was a nice location for all of us to stay together for a few days before returning home to the US. Amanda was very accommodating and responsive and we will stay again if the property is available when we cone to visit our daughter.
Fascinating period property in a quiet location 5 minutes walk to Vauxhall underground. Quirky layout which the children loved. The adults enjoyed relaxing on the terrace in the evening. Well equipped kitchen and supermarket nearby made self-catering an easy option. We loved it!
Location is great for the Tube. The flat is accommodating and comfortable. Host was great. Responded quickly. Only thing I can point out is there are a lot of stairs. Overall for us it was a good place.
We had a wonderful stay in this Vauxhall property - it was spacious for our family of four, and so unique with interesting architectural details and lots of nooks and crannies to explore around the flat. It was perfectly situated for all of our explorations around London, with easy access to the underground and buses. We loved the nearby pubs and playground, as well as the city farm and park. Amanda was responsive to questions and a great host. Highly recommend!
This was an amazing find for my family. It was in a quiet neighborhood, close to a bus and train station, with lots of things to do within walking distance (including a petting farm!) The house was very comfortable and full of eclectic touches. The owner was quick to our requests and receptive to our needs. My family fell in love with this unique home. Would definitely stay again.
Amanda’s place is spacious, light filled and has beautiful architectural details like all the wood finishing and stain glass ! It is really a charming place to spend time ! We loved the neighborhood - tea theatre cafe was great for breakfast and afternoon tea ! Walkable to Westminster and many other locations as well as close proximity to Vauxhall tube. Would love to come back for longer ! Thank you Amanda !
We throughly enjoyed our stay in this perfect London apartment. From the location to the Thames, along with Big Ben, Parliament and the London Eye, we were able to see so much of this amazing city but on foot and via the tube. Quiet and pleasant neighborhood, we enjoyed dinner at the Black Dog and well as the layout and easy of access. The multiple levels of the apartment, the upper level outdoor patio and the spacious family room were all highlights. We would 100% stay here again. And sincerely appreciate the contact being so easy to work with!
Location and communication was first rate.
One lounge was not comfortable at all .
Towels had some stains on them so we did wash these a few times during our stay
The apartment is quirky / unique if that is to your taste
We had a perfect stay on this property. We traveled with our two older children, and everyone had their own space. The property was adorable! We were a five minute walk to the nearest bus stop and no more than 10 minutes to the tube station. There is a local pub right up the street. Great late night stop on the way back from a day exploring the city. The host was very attentive to any questions that we had.
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was exactly as described, checkin and checkout was easy, the host was easy to communicate with and flexible regarding our checkin needs, the property itself is clean, attractive, and a bit quirky, and public transportation is an easy and pleasant 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again!
PS. The property is private. No one else has access. I’m not sure what a previous reviewer was speaking of…

historic stay with some quirks
The house itself was amazing. There were some quirks about the shower/tub or bedding that we needed to get used to but we loved and expected those quirks. The host was not as easy to contact beforehand but attentive during our stay. There was NOT a dryer on property, which had been listed and expected by us. It was also a bit "interesting" having the friend of the host live in the ground floor apartment as we did not have a way to keep them from coming into "our" space. While we had no problems with this, if we were a different family it might have been more of an issue. It WAS very closely located to all of the public transit we used. Overall we were happy with our stay.
I stayed with my family of six. There was a queen size mattress in aloft that my husband and I stayed on it was very comfortable. There was A futon in the room that one child stayed on one night. It wasn’t super comfortable for them, But it was a nice option to have. The other room had two full-size mattresses that were comfortable. The Family room had a couch that can fold down. I had a child that stayed on that one night and it was decent, but not as comfortable as the mattresses. It’s definitely worth staying here again. We walked to Westminster one morning and it was a beautiful little walk. It’s close to Victoria tube Line, Vauxhall station. The only real complaint I had is, we could only find three bowls, and my 4 kids really like to eat cereal in the morning. lol The host was very easy to contact and very accommodating!
I loved the house it was beautiful, unique, spacious filled with amazing touches from the Victorian era just truly like no where else I've stayed before I really loved the upstairs loft beds something about being in alil cave bed made me happy. Now the one annoying thing that's the only real issue is the temperature/ thermostat the first night we where FREEEZING and I did everything I could to warm the house but didn't learn till the ext morning I had no control of the thermostat and had to message the owner thru the app to turn up or down the heat. This resulted inmultiple nights of point of waking up in ur own sweat to freezing cold mornings ! The morning of check out we all had to get ready and leave in the freezing cold cus the heaters didn't turn on till 7 when we where walking out the door. If they where to give there customer temperature control I'd say this was a 5 out of 5 for sure but that one little detail made the house uncomfortable numerous times a day . Beds where great sheets and blankets where great pillows where perfect. Fresh plants everywhere ! Guite literally almost perfect
We stayed for 6 nights in 10/2024 (Sun-Sat). Could hear club music Fri night.
My teens LOVED that there were two lofts in the two bedrooms for them to sleep in. I had a full-size bed in one of those rooms and it was fine.
The entire flat is a bit quirky (we're American) but worked great for us. The 1st floor (street level) goes up to the stairs to the 2nd floor (living room, kitchen, & balcony #1), then up again for the 3rd floor (full bathroom, bedrooms, & balcony #2). There is a washer but no dryer. If you plan to do a lot of laundry, you might find it challenging to dry. Fridge is half size, with the freezer being literally a slot (but works well). All the furniture is tired and probably in need of a refresh, but works fine.
Favorite parts: skylight, window seats in the living room, park and separate playground across the street, location, and easy access to public transportation.
Least favorite parts: the ceiling leaked during rain one night, but the owner is already taking care of it; being able to hear pretty much everything the neighbors were doing between 7-10pm; no dryer for clothing beyond the rack; and the high entry point to tub/shower.
Not recommended for those with mobility issues (stairs).
We loved this flat and would stay here again in London!

Decent
The location is super close to Westminster and an easy walk. It’s a cute neighborhood with a farm and community garden but the park can be sketchy at night (it is a city) but during the day it’s great. The apartment hasn’t been renovated since the 80’s so it’s a bit run down and could use some work (the pictures in the listing are after a fresh paint from awhile ago) the casings around some of the windows look like they could come apart if you push to hard and some latches are already not fitting. It was mostly clean and had some old charm. Just know it Is well used, with years of people in and out, getting up the tight spiral staircases, the couches are not clean and all the cushions are beat down, so we just threw blankets on them. The bedding was clean, and there are 4 beds (we didn’t try the pullouts) the lofts have head space. FYI a king in Europe is just a queen in US. The plumbing in the bathroom is eclectic you pull a rope and it flushes down, and that’s fine but the shower is so close to the wall you have like only 10” to stand under and try to get your hair wet plus the tub has a tight slope so just know. The kitchen was cute and had the clothes washer under the counter. The only other appliance we used was fridge, both fine. The listing had said a dryer and hot tub - neither of those things exist. Amanda was super nice and let us drop our luggage off early so we could walk around while she got the place ready, she cleans the place herself so she does what she can.
