Great central location with excellent food at restaurant with great historical characteristics with modern conveniences. I stay here every time I am in the area.
Great Spot! I eat here often. Staff is amazing. First time staying and for an old building it is in great shape. My hotel in a brand new building the previous night had more damage. Everything worked perfect. Staff were amazing.

I just love the Victorian setting. It was nice and clean. I also love the location downtown close to shops and everything.
The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t get the TV to work
I definitely enjoyed my stay and will come back in the future. Although some people that stayed in this room complained of problems with lack of hot water for bathing and that the room was cold, but I found no problems at all with heat or water.
Great unique building. We stayed on top floor which had a large bedroom, sitting area and large bathroom and shower. Just outside the door was a well outfitted kitchen with free access to coffee and light breakfast. If stairs are a problem for you book lower down.

The room was a run down as was the breakfast from. Having no
Proper shower just a hand held shower head is a huge problem.
The staff were amazing! Very considerate and understanding!
This place has history. We enjoyed our stay here coming from the USA for a funeral. It was an excellent place for "home-base" for a couple of days. We ate at the Inn for dinners and there was a kitchenette for very basic breakfasts. The hot water supply was temperamental. Enjoyed the downtown location and we had no problem parking for free. We enjoy supporting local businesses and off-the-beaten path places. This was a great stay.

Clocktower
Downtown Strathroy, good location, limited availability of staff support hours, I had an issue but they fixed it promptly, no shower in my room, just a bathtub. Historic building, I enjoyed it

The food was very good. A tad overpriced. The heritage and decor is amazing! Bed was very hard. Very nice surprise to have Continental breakfast included.
Staying at the clocktower was unique. Not your typical hotel. Very classic old building. Note there is no elevator, and you have to climb steep stairs to get to the rooms. My favorite part was walking to the restaurant where i had awesome wine and pizza, made fresh from the oven. Also charming was the pigeons cooing on the roof.
The Clocktower Inn looked beautiful in the advertisement and definitely has a quaint boutique charm. The location is excellent, right in the town of Strathmore, with a restaurant conveniently downstairs.
That said, the inn is a little antiquated. When I checked in, there were no staff available other than the restaurant hosts. Unfortunately, my room was on the third floor, which made carrying heavy suitcases quite difficult. The room itself had only a very small frosted window that you couldn’t really see out of, and there was a desk but no chair. The TV cables were hanging visibly below the wall-mounted television, which made the room feel unfinished.
The biggest issue was the hot water. I could only get hot water for about a minute and a half at a time while trying to fill the bathtub, so I had to keep turning the water on and off repeatedly.
Overall, if you enjoy boutique-style inns, want to stay somewhere quaint and centrally located, and don’t have mobility issues or a lot of luggage, you would probably enjoy your stay. However, I would avoid booking the Prince of Wales room and would strongly recommend asking which rooms have proper windows before reserving.
