Great location with lovely walk into Aberfeldy down by the river. So many attractions close by and a great base for exploring. "Receptionists on arrival and departure very obliging and helpful giving my wife and I an upgraded room as there was one available. All staff polite and made sure all was to our satisfaction. Dinner menu was such that there was a good choice, all reasonably priced and cooked / presented to a high standard. Likewise for breakfast. Good touring base and would recommend."

"Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area or the library. (It was 5 degrees outside). The reason given was the chimneys hadn’t been swept. So bring jumpers and warm pyjammas! Overall, though, I would always recommend this charming hotel, situated in the heart of glorious Perthshire. Food was great, good wines, board games in the library. Just please have the fires lit, as would be expected in an old coach house, and to compliment the warm welcome that was given by the staff. The room was immaculate. And beautifully decorated. (Room 4- a twin) Other restaurant to book within 5 minutes walk of the hotel, is the Deil’s Inn, and also the Deil’s Cauldron walk can be done easily from the hotel. Lots of lovely local shops and cafes within 2 minute walk. And if you are going to any events at Crieff Hydro, but would prefer the old style charm of a place, go to The Royal in Comrie, an easy drive to and from any events in Crieff. "The best hotel we have ever stayed in. Cromlix is situated in a lovely setting, each room in the house has been tastefully decorated and dressed. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming and put you at ease from the very beginning. The food options are a step above for evening dining and at breakfast. Could not fault it a superb stay that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. "
