"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day. - the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...

"We travelled late 25 - 29 October 2024. Rooms. Very spacious, cleaned daily and equipped for self catering if preferred. Breakfast was nice with a nice variety. Staff welcoming. "The oldest hotel in Italy, you won't find the sterile decor of most hotels but it's charming and clean with lots of interesting things to look at. The air conditioning is a bit noisy but was very appreciated. The views over the river are very beautiful, the Palazzo Blu is just across the river and there are some great gelateria and restaurants nearby. Leaning Tower is about 15min walk. What stood out to us at this hotel was the staff. They were all very welcoming, friendly and happy to give us advice on where to park our car, dinner recommendations etc."
