"Al Porto Di Lucca is a lovely old property that has been tasefully renovated and decorated to combine modern facilities (such as the bathrooms) with the original features and furniture in keeping with the age and style of the house. "We booked this hotel as it was relatively close to the airport for the final night of our 10 day Tuscan trip. It surpassed all our expectations and we wished we could’ve stayed longer. It was like something from a Paolo Sorrentino movie, with the quaint town, the quiet pool area and the ambience. It smelled lovely too. I’d imagine the church bells would get tiresome on longer stays (especially as they went off 3 mins early). The reception lady was very attentive and offered us an early breakfast...

"Filippo and Marisa were wonderful hosts, who made our stay at the Villa Oasi pleasant and memorable. The breakfasts were exceptionaly good. The only downside was the intermittant internet service despite Filippo's efforts to correct it. The problem was due to faulty incoming cable, which I hope has now been repaired. This B&B gets a very good rating."

"Nice place to stay for the night, clean and super comfortable sleeping, had a great sleep. Walked 45 minutes to get to the Tower of Pisa, only 10 minute walk from the train. Shops along the way for food. Breakfast is very basic, juice in box, tea/coffee and craker type snacks. Cafes are close by. Kitchen available where you could leave your groceries and cook if you wanted. Only one other suite in space, we were on top floor, the other room on bottom. Friendly host, easy check in. "

"A great place to stay very close to the airport. However the quality of your stay will depend on how quiet other guests are and whether they come and go to the airport during the night. Our host was excellent in meeting us as we arrived just after midnight and explained everything to us. "

"I stayed with my grown up son. We shared a twin room which was very spacious. The room and the en-suite were cleaned every day. The breakfast each day was plentiful, tasty and high quality. Much more than we could eat? All staff were polite and helpful. Were very patient with my son when he wanted to practice his Italian. If we return to the area we would not hesitate to book again."

"Very nice property and grounds, breakfast was good, and the addition of a pool was a bonus. It's located about a 20min walk to the Lucca walls, which we easily done every day. Minor issues would be the metal four poster bed take up a little too much space in the rooms, the pool area could be a little cleaner (signs of algae around tiles). One problem which is not associated with the B&B, is the lack of Taxi's in Lucca, we arrived at the train station in the evening, and there were no Taxi's to...

"10min walk to the nearest train station to get to other areas of italy such as florence and cinque terre. 15min walk to the tower of Pisa. Clean chalet, friendly & helpful staff, shop/cafe/restaurant on site. Kitchen area equipped with basics for cooking, there is no kettle,toaster, oven or microwave - just a 4 ringed gas hob which i feel could be improved more. Lots of mosquitos so ensure you pack repellant. Towels to hire. Good quality supermarket 10min walk away. I would definitely stay here...
