"Stayed one night only on a driving trip but it was everything you expect from a 5* hotel. Lovely meet and greet and easy check in. Used the spa facilities over 2 days but there is an additional charge for this. Pool use is included in your stay. We ate evening meal in the Amber restaurant which had great food and reasonably priced for a high end hotel. It was busy so slightly slow service but the waiter apologised on contact. The grounds looked lovely and had an advertised walk but did not have enough time to explore. Overall a great hotel, welcoming with good facilities."

"The service -- warmth, responsiveness, sense of humour -- of the staff were the best we have ever experienced. Ditto for the quality of the breakfast as well -- incredible variety of fresh, mostly locally sourced items so that even the continental option was an array of choices unlike any other of this type. Our room was luxurious: super comfy bed, gorgeous view, space, niceties in the room for making espresso, tea or regular coffee."

"We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, there was a kettle and a mini fridge. Beds were comfortable. It was close for the things we needed. Walking distance to some restaurants. We always saw staff cleaning. The pool was great. Didn't realize I needed a swim cap but they have them available for sale at the pool desk. We didn't use the on-site bar or restaurant. The restaurant has a nice sun room that looked like a great place to enjoy some down time. We did have noise from the room next door because of the adjoining room door which didn't have any sound damping. Also we ended up booking a double room and the beds were small. They did provide a flat sheet for us as it was too warm in the room for a duvet."
